Is very probable that something will born from Shaw ( the pregnant images ..her with the legs full of blood ..her face in pain ) .... there was that image in the leaked trailer ..that sort of "serpent" moving ...and also that image of a flamethrower used against something not very tall ... So yes your theory is very plausible .
btw i hope she will not deliver a nut... scrat from the ice age can arrive ...

no i think that there is some part of the society that lean a bit of the pervert/sadic side , but im surely wrong and you are not part of it .. btw we can put our past discussions behind our backs ... really im not the person that get angry about forum posts ( life in another thing after all !! )
lets focus on the movie ..everyone with different opinions and sensibilities .

And the other paintings of Gigers from the same series in the same book that inspired the film "Necronomicon" are as much, in some cases, as 100 times more sexually explicit.
ReplyNot_my_intentionPrometheus ForumIf Not For This Painting, None Of Us Are Here Now !Dec 25, 2011
i thought the movie was based on H.P. Lovecraft's Necronomicon, the same book that H.R. Gigers art book is named after.

Utterly beautiful isn't it?
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumIf Not For This Painting, None Of Us Are Here Now !Dec 25, 2011
Me too "42" until I checked it out !
Ya ever see that film?
They made a film of Lovecraft's Book with it's title and I did not like it very much.
and you are so right it is so nice "ZR"

ENOUGH with this "Xenomorph" nonsense.
respect Giger and his art, and call them what he does "biomechanoids"
ReplydraekusPrometheus ForumIf Not For This Painting, None Of Us Are Here Now !Dec 25, 2011
Beautiful artwork! (and yes, they are Biomechanoids not xenomorphs). Can't wait to see more of Giger's work made real in Prometheus.

almost "fair enough" Shardy,
But in the end it does not matter because you are 100% correct !
My bad and thank you for keeping me in line, must have been the mushrooms at dinner.

@Spartacus: if i came off like a controlling douche-bag - i apologize, i'm sorry
it just irritates me that Cameron's vapid influence has carried over to this new
film, i know that's not gonna change anytime soon. i just like to keep things
accurate, as they were in the beginning of all this stuff which has now become
iconic in our eyes
great pics by the way, they bring back memories of when i use to go on the hunt
for all things ALIEN related at comic book conventions and sci-fi oriented bookstores
=0)

Superb, keen observation InMrSage. I love that nightmarish world
of Giger and I hope they haven't shat on him regarding his input
for this phenomenal looking film.
ReplyReimerPrometheus ForumThe Source of an Alien DerelictDec 25, 2011
Very interesting...it's starting to look as if the pyramid/temple elements excised from the first film's story quite early on may have been revived as a basis for the new film.
ReplyFrantzPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
if you take the frame after ...with the door more open ..you see a sort of rectangular shape under the "temple head" so yes are probably not rocks ...
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011

I frikkin' LOVE it!
ReplyGavinPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
The question remains however, what style of head is atop the temple? Human, Xeno or other?

Thats the one, looks like the temple dome is situated dead centre, probably surrounded by a circular wall from the definition seen in Frantz's image.
ReplyFrantzPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
yes it mean that the derelict maybe arrive later , called by something .... and they already know that is a menace ....
ReplySpartacusPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
My Lord, if you'll excuse the expression, is that ever a beautiful structure.
I would dearly love to see that conceptual artwork right there above me translated and converted and presented and inserted and on Dashin' and on Dixon Into The Film !!!
HoHoHo !
ReplyMekja-TekPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
If you scan the leaked trailer you will see the hanger scene showed more of the temple walls not to mention that leaping WTF that is reminiscent of the facehugger. ALIEN has been an addiction since 1985-86 and seems like I wont be able to kick the habit! OMG, summer 2012 is too far away! In my brain, no one can hear me scream!!!
ReplyshardyPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
there is a pretty compelling comparison to the shape of the structure in these vintage
Giger paintings, and the shape of the terrain in the Prometheus trailer as the hatch of
that vessel opens revealing the landscape
it would be fantastic if in fact,
Scott used that particular Giger painting as the basis for the Engineer's long lost
citadel that was left and buried on Earth over time. i do hope that is the case here
the MORE now classic Giger - - the BETTER.
ReplyNot_my_intentionPrometheus ForumPrometheus Temple UncoveredDec 25, 2011
i still wish that the structure was gigers pyramid

Capt Kirk wouldn't try to hump the alien or would he?
ReplyAnubisCheAlien Movies ForumAlien3 "reboot"?Dec 25, 2011
Simply put: I despised Alien 3. Resurrection I took with a grain of salt. Alien and Aliens are the best to me. I loved Alien for its superior acting cast. I will never forget that woman's scream (I forgot her name) the red head who was so scared. You hear her panting for several minutes as the alien is slowly killing her and then one final scream before she dies. That rattled the senses. Aliens was great because it took the fight to the Aliens. We were scared of the xenomorphs at first but now we got some bad ass devil dogs to take them on, only to lose hope when each one except Hicks is slaughtered. It was a nice one two punch IMO
I have no comment for the terrible last two films made in the series. The mystique was gone...not even a prison could replace the dirt, oil, sweat, machine and grime of the first two.
