Very nice! But unfortunately these images are in fact "fake". PrometheusNews.net even removed their original post for this after realising. But regardless, great photoshop work on the pic of "David"!

Pretty damn good to be fair. I think they could have put more effort into the batman costume rather than using a £30 fancy dress kit, they obvlously put alot of effort in with the Aliens & Predators. I like crossovers and that one was pretty good.

Yeah looking at that pic you could somewhat say, they are similar. but Predators are in no-way attached to this movie. Predator have absolutely nothing to do with the Alien(Scott) universe. not even Alien 2 3 and 4 have anything to do with this IMO.

don't think they're the same. And some, well hidden, links to other movies aren't wrong. As long as you don't see them directly. Predators had some really nice links, according to some people also to alien(I have my doubts about the burning skull).

Ridley scott will try to stay away from any kind of relationshio with everything was done after the first alien

@ Frantz, Ridley Scott has praised James Cameron's sequel Aliens, and James Cameron has stated that he enjoyed AVP, and that he liked the way in which it pre-empted the first two Alien films. Also take into account that the assumed benign nature of the Space Jockey's is not that dis-similar to that of the Predators shown in AVP. In fact, it is safe to say that this "ancient astronaut" theory is not a new feature to the franchise as a whole.

he praised cameron because he appreciate him as a director ... he hate ( and he said it alot of times ) the use that was made of the franchise....that was stated clear many times ...you can forget queens , predators and any kind of link to any sequel that was made from the first alien ... he also said that the links between prometheus and Alien will be thin ( same dna , but they also said that alien should not be the sequel of prometheus ) ..lets figure with the others !!

I think the link between Prometheus and Alien is going to be more obvious than they've stated from the leaked trailer we all saw - we will see the derelict crash, and possibly the Alien born from the Space Jockey. That said Prometheus will for the most part go its own route using the Space Jockey as a stepping stone to another franchise set within the same universe.

I agree with the fact that Ridley will not link Prometheus to the other Aliens, Predators or AVP's, but at the same time he will not debunk any established links. On paper, the franchise and the ideas within do work, on film however there are only 3 and a half decent films (Alien, Aliens, Predator and parts of AVP), the rest just fail to capture the ideas within their scripts.

yes i think the same ...he will not do the badass and destroy all the other movies theories , hes a gentleman .... but i also think that the downfall of the franchise ( not only in quality but in storytelling , and that start with alien3 with the lowest point in the first AVP ) was a great motivation behind his return to the alien universe .

I don't think i'd like to see any Predator ties in the film, the 2 AVP films were a massive let down and Predators wasn't that good. What I would like to see in Prometheus is, Space Jockeys, Androids, The Company & some 'effed up new Xeno.

@ EP - I think your wish list is almost a given... Space Jockeys, Yes. Androids, 1 definitely, 2 possibly. The Company, yes but just the Yutani Corporation. New Xeno, most likely - I suspect we will see the derelict from Alien crash, and as the crew of the Prometheus approach it the Alien born from the Space Jockey will make its presence known.

I just hope both supposed versions (pg13 & r) are in 3D. I have yet to see a film at the cinema in 3D & i'm moving back to my home town just before it releases so it would be awesome to go see Prometheus in 3D as it will tie in (excuse the pun) with my move back home. Some good times to look forward to.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Please do not try and tie the Predators with this movie.They will have absolutely no reference with Prometheus, and should never of got any where near the Alien franchise. AvP sucked and has no place here.

Ha ha Theusprom, I totally agree with you, they should never have been thrown together. I had to laugh in AVP Requiem when we see the 'hero' predator sat in what looked like a Space jockey chair! how stupid do they think we are?

Although I agree that, as with any business, Fox is looking to maximise its profits, I completely disagree with your comments regarding Aliens and the Queen. Firstly Aliens is considered a classic alongside Alien, although they are from the same franchise they are two different types of films. Secondly, the Queen idea makes alot more sense and is more efficient and befitting the aliens nature of "the perfect organism" than the idea originally intended for Alien - Queen lays egg, Facehugger hatches and impregnates host (1 host is used), as opposed to Alien converts host into an egg, Facehugger hatches and impregnates host (2 hosts are used).

Aliens is much in line with all the cameron's work ... and to me remain a perfect movie ( i dont see cameron making something more dark and gruesome ) . BTW i agree that a toned down ALien would have been ridicolous . depend where are the limits of an eventual PG13 ... words ? i dont care ... sex ? i dont care ... remember that Alien dont show much blood but is scaring as hell

I do agree that the invention of the queen may have made it easier to swallow,but for me it took away the very 'alien' essence of the creature. We have bee's and ants that lay eggs and for me the queen dumbed down the alien. The original idea is way more disturbing, been transformed into something 'alien'. This is merely my opinion however....

I am sure their will be a directors cut....probably released a few months after the Pg13 official release......well I am hoping!......i know they had a prequel to "The Thing"...recently got an "R" rating.....mostly due to some intense gore......but with PG13 ...I am not sure how much u can get away with?

I am a little uneasy,I must admit, with this rating. Fox will probably bring out a 'too extreme for cinemas' version and cash in a bit more

I've just had a horrible thought that this could actually happen. 2 versions being done, a PG13 & an R rated, PG13 version shown in 3D, R rated in standard, so if people want the 3D experience they have to watch the lame PG13 version, and if they want to see see all the gore & horror, standard it is. Also, if adults are taking the kids to the PG13, they will probably end up wanting to see the R rated version. This all equates to...(drum roll)... Max profits for FOX! I hope and pray I am wrong.

@ Thadus12, I agree that the original idea is more unsettling, but it just isn't very efficient, and the Alien, even in the first film was all about efficiency and perfection... Look at it this way, if the alien had landed on a colony of say 50 people, using the idea originally intended would have resulted in 25 Aliens. This method is a waste of resources, for example... In Alien only Dallas and Brett were cocooned (to become eggs originally), yet the Alien killed Parker and Lambert, leaving only Ripley. I prefer the idea that instead the Alien was cocooning them as a natural instinct. Furthermore I think the idea of being transformed into something alien and strange against your will be feature in Prometheus.

We know nothing for sure as yet, I do remember it was said somewhere that Brett was the egg and Dallas was the host but i also remember someone saying Dallas was food for the alien. Maybe it was changing both of them into eggs? if we do stick with the original intention and the queen does not exist,where did all the eggs come from?

Also I have read that the cocooning was to preserve the bodies so they could be eaten at a later time and was not as much about their metamorphosis or the Aliens Life Cycle.

It is stated in the directors cut commentary and gigers alien lifecycle artwork that Dallas and Brett were to become eggs. Also the original intention was changed before the film was released and only added in the diretors cut as a freebie, no matter what the original intention was that all changed with Aliens, and although it is clear to see that you Thadus12 are not a fan of the sequel, many, many people are. You are entitled to your views and opinions but you cannot change the fact that in regards to the Alien franchise, the Queen exists, end of. Ridley will not change that element for fear of upsetting millions of fans. You also asked were did all the eggs would come from, without a single Queen laying them (again very efficient) you would have to have had thousands ("Kane said he saw thousands of eggs") of previous hosts, which is not very efficient. Again, the idea of being changed into something completely alien against our will, and therefore losing our humanity will most likely feature in Prometheus. Although I am as psyched as you all are about the film I hold no illusions, Ridley has recycled unused and abandoned ideas from Alien and used them, along with the mystery regarding the Space Jockey as the premise of Prometheus. Hence when he said that fans will be able to see DNA (original ideas) from Alien, especially in the final XX minutes of the film.

I was indeed a major fan of Aliens when it came out and thought the directors cut was amazing. It was only later in my life when I read the original ideas and concepts,that James Cameron wrote in an alien queen to make the story more palletable,that Aliens as a prequel was not true to the 1st film, dont get me wrong,Aliens is well shot and has great special effects but as a sequel does not work for me

Although Gigers artwork does show this original intention, which has since been abandoned, in respect to the Alien that is, but regards Prometheus... we'll find out in six months. @ thadus12, I am 100% certain the Queen will not be in Prometheus, Prometheus will link to Alien as I've already stated, but it is not an Alien film.

There is no proof that 1 egg is created from 1 body ... a few bodies can give enough materials to create a frame that can produce thousand eggs ...like the Alien itself the starting "infected mass" can expland and occupy a large space that will make the "soil" for many eggs to grew ... the only reference for the 1 body = 1 egg is the one of the cocooned brett but that can be simply the start . The alien growth is not related to feeding ( a human baby without feeding will not grew ) since it become enormous from the death of kane to the killing of brett ..so we can assume that the alien "saliva" or " shit" or "resin " can grew alot even without feeding .
