Brett actually appears to be caccooned within an egg at the end of Alien Directors Cut, and some of the books refer to the Alien being able to produce single eggs if they find themselves in a situation where they are the last survivor of their hive / colony. I am looking forward to how Ridley is going to do the connection. It's hard to predict the outcome when so many writers and directors have given their take on the creature :)

Snorkelbottom, my apologies if I was too dry and unemotional in that post, truth is I am a bit IN shock that someone else here was chosen for site admin consideration before I was, I Have given my guts to this web site for 3 months, I was the person that broke the Leaked Trailer footage story and I have been insulted 40 times on this site and ignored them all, even offered an Olive Branch to the person who did all this and flat out at that despite all common sense and to do so for someone so very undeserving of that, only to have it refused, and then get insulted again, publically right here, and the powers that be whom are suppose to be IMPARTIAL and FAIR did NOTHING about it at all, they just let him do it....and once, when I just felt that bringing up HITLER all of the sudden made absolutely No sense what so ever, especially since I Lost every single one of my relatives to him and his henchman...I reported it to the powers that be who promptly said there was Nothing wrong with saying "Adolph Hitler Filmed This" {and it was said and posted at the moment this person discovered I was Jewish} and then just yesterday the Powers that be decided to "Consider this person for an Admin position" which is exactly the same thing as a Judge telling someone who has been raped that they have to now pay damages to the Rapist. All this to let you know I am not happy at all, but it's not YOU it's the way this was handled and the rude slap in the face I received yesterday when I noticed that 3 guys, one who is rarely even on this web site, another who is perfect for the Job and yet another who has absolutely No Business what so ever being on that list, and that in my case, the efforts I made for the past 3 months have been completely discarded. I felt/feel wildly unappreciated and vastly insulted and do not think It is in m best interest anymore to care. I have tried to contribute in the most positive ways possible, I have helped several members figure out how to do things, but somehow all it has done for me is make my heart ache. My apologies. I watched it yesterday and I agree with you but also, I noticed that on the commentary the first thing they said about Dallas and Brett being in that room was that the idea was supposed to be that they were "being cocooned for the purposes of being eaten at a later date" but I could still be wrong or that could be wrong in and of itself, It doesn't really make that much sense to me...the Xeno's may even do that just instinctively as part of their daily routines tom make sure they always have fresh meat around... @ frantz, I completelt agree. It seems that the alien does not require much sustenance, not even to grow from a Chestburster to an adult, which after 6 films featuring the alien we have not yet seen. I personally envision this to be a very painful experience for the alien, that could be truly terrifying to watch - body heat, steam, saliva, shrieks, hisses, pain, bending, snapping etc.

I agree, and normally I wouldn't care, but at 49 and after everything I have been through there is Just No Bullshitting in me, I cannot do it. I am hurt, I have been slighted, I do not like it one bit, and it says a lot about how things really are in this world. But you are 100% and I might even create one myself, I have a lot of people right now telling me to do it and I am very well versed in pearl and HTML. In the meantime you are right and I will try to lighten up and take everything less seriously. 49...hey!....and I was fearing I might be the oldest guy here at 40...phew! Anyway Spartacus.....I would not be to upset about not getting voted as part of admin...I just come here to relax ....if they ever had to ask me i would probably say no thanks...it's just extra responsibilities and shit to worry about and whats the big deal ? ....is it supposed to be some kinda honor?....no disrespect to the guys who make up the admin team....i love this site and I don't have any problems with any of the people on here...so far I have not been insulted by anyone.....but what's does being part of the admin actually entail......i am really curious?

Personally, I think Bughunter should pick 4 admin, Spartacus, Rick, Biomechanic & Cain1977. I wouldn't mind doing admin myself as i'm on here at least a couple of hours a day now but I can't vote for myself and i've only been posting since yesturday. I think the 4 posters I have mentioned are the most prolific, if that makes sense? Not forgetting the amount of stress they saved me by helping me change my profile pic.

@ Biomechanic, I think it would be a shame for you or Spartacus not to be admin, you are both bringing good stuff to the Prometheus table.

Just so everyone know's its not an admin job. The site needs 3 Moderators and I'm sure each will have to keep an eye on there own respective forums. On a personal note you guys need to set aside your differences and work together. That means don't take things personally, sucking up what ever has already been said, letting it go, and manning up. Be professional and most of all have fun. That also includes a friend request in Facebook in case something goes on in someone's forums and the other doesn't know about it right away. ooooooh....lol....the plot thickens ....Bio and Sparky is at it again....another reason why I find this site so entertaining...it might sound selfish of me to say such things....but I am willing to bet their are others on this forum that find it every bit as entertaining as I do.... Anyway back on topic.....PG13 sucks ass.....gimme the R rated version....it's not the most expensive movie ever made...so fox just wanne cash in!...the alien franchise is very popular and even with a "R" rating it will still make way more than it cost.... I know that Ridley was pushing for an "R" rating since he started on Prometheus.. i read somewhere that he almost abandoned the project at one stage...purely due to the PG13 rating.....so in the same article they mentioned that their will be two versions....the PG13 and R rated....In fact it would not surprise me if Sir Scott gave Fox an ultimatum....but he got his way...at least to a certain extent....not sure when and how they gonna release both versions.....R rated will be most likely released as a directors cut only available once the movie reaches DVD....I am sure it will also be re released in seleted cinemas......but that last one is just speculation.

Biomechanic mentioned hitler by way of a comment, Sparky called it distasteful, Biomechanic returned stating that he was jewish and took no offence. I believe this lovers tiff has been going on for some time, and just when it seems they are going to make up, one or the other puts their foot in it again. the dead jockey body in the ampule room can make us think that the jockeys are victims of something ...of themselves ? of bad experimenting ? or of something else ? ( i dont think the SJ was killed by the crew because they look a bit too relaxed .. )

Good thought. It may be that what we see of the SJ is an armoured suit that helps the sj move and live within different environs. Whats inside could be a soft tissue type being that hasnt fully evolved into what we would call a proper being. One of the photos released possibly shows a dead SJ but it could be just a disgarded suit. So there could be an intelligent parasite element to this.

Dont forget the theory that the space jockey could be a transformed human,that crashes the derelict ship to save mankind, thats just an idea I read

What we all assume/know so far... 1. Humans - enlisted by the Yutani Corporation. 2. Android - 1 called David and possibly 2, but who? 3. Space Jockey - maybe a lone member or plural. I suspect the humans do kill the Space Jockey seen in the pic after a misinterpretation of intention. After viewing it as a threat they relax, wrongly believing that all is well, unaware that there is another... 4. Mysterious Green Goo - Is this some form of "artificial primordial soup" or something more? 5. Derelict - I'm 99% certain we will see the Derelict crash, linking to Alien. 6. Alien - Uncertain if we will actually see the Space Jockey born alien, but I suspect so (50% chance either way).

I'm drawn to what David pulls out of the Urn in one of the pics. Is it a baby Space Jockey? a parasite or being that the Space Jockey's are protecting? Something they have created or harvested? A baby xenomorth (before it becomes the facehugger?

the only reliable informer ...they one that gave the exact names for the crew ..mentioned to have saw , on the set , 3 guys with parts of a classic alien custumes on . the guy was very reliable with photos and infos ...so we can assume that we will see the classic xenomorph . ( of course we cant be 100% sure ... )

I'm sure fox will have done some promotional stuff with the classical alien even if it doesn't make an appearance.......

I'd really rather not see how the space jockey ends up on LV426, I like the mystery behind it too much ! The way the aliens are just THERE is a big element of the film to me, I'd love to see how the alien species was created and who by but please Ridley, leave the derelict unanswered !!

Hey Guys, Thought I'd drop in real quick before the long drive to Detroit. I know this is sacrilege BUT technically speaking AvP and AvP:R are prequels to Alien since they happened during "our" time and not in the future where Prometheus and Alien are supposed to take place. That was all reported on Sky Movies website about 6 months ago...it was never confirmed, but saying that, it was never refuted.
