@Leeta - David is quite the jealous type!
@VivisectedEngineer - I know, it is sad. I guess I have had time to think of alternative ways she may have agreed to help destroy the evil Engineer plans?
Scorpion Ship, easier to see in the first pic:
Thanks!! :D
Yes! I'll have my kiddo watch the movies in the chronologically correct order of events. I'll make him/her read my fan-fics in between the correct movies too! lol
I think that's an example of something that's tempting to believe mostly because the alternative is pretty sad...
I suppose it is conceivable that they stopped off somewhere else before Planet 4 but I don't think she would have allowed David to use her in the way that he did.
In Prometheus, she acted very selflessly to prevent the Engineer pilot from destroying life on Earth. I don't think she would have willingly contributed to David's plan to engineer this structurally perfect and equally hostile organism.
Hopefully Shaw got to meet her makers and get her answers in this life or the next...
Congrats!
Remember to have your child start with Prometheus not Alien!
I like to think she was awaken after David had destroyed the civilization. He then told her what had happened and why he had done it. And I think out of fear, she 'agreed' with him even though something wasn't adding up with the whole situation. She was becoming afraid of him and noticed he was becoming more and more crazy by the day. And perhaps she had also witnessed him experiment on possible survivors of the goo bombing. She may have even pulled up some ''cctv'' footage from the ship and watch him drop the canisters onto the people below.
So, she began to secretly think of a plan to escape from him. But, she knew the only way to escape was to use the ship and would have to think of a plan to distract him. This, in my mind, would explain why the ship crashed because when he realized she was trying to leave him he felt betrayed, and that's when he killed her out of rage causing the ship to crash.
Thank you!!! :D
Congratulations!!
Thanks!
They say one added benefit of pregnancy is you get weirder dreams!
Last night I dreamt that David had a birthday party and Elon Musk showed up and called David "The next big visionary".
Not the weirdest, but it's a start, lol. :P
Many congratulations!
I think the "left as he found it" part can be ambiguous... It would be like if you found a Bike on the Road and brought it home to see if you can fix it (as it needed a bit of repair) and you Parents ask what you have brought back and why is it how it is... you would say the Bike was like this when you found it.
So i think that still David could have found the Egg some place else.... I think this is where the people who work on these movies dont give many ideas any after thought... they have a idea and leave a clue or dialog without actually thinking so how does this apply.
They dont have to spell out to us via the Characters where the Egg Came from, as long as they (Rs/FOX etc)know where the Egg came from. It appears they dont put much thought into stuff like this.
If this Egg is found where he found it, does this mean some other place on Paradise, but then we have to ask if he could find it some other place on Paradise, it in a way is not WHERE HE FOUND IT as far as pointing out where David had his Lab.
So if the Egg was in that Workshop found as it was, just laying there to be discovered by David after the Bombardment and he had nothing to do with the Egg (could mean not a effect of his Bombardment) then we really have to ask why did those Engineers have ONE Egg in that Room.
How did that one Egg not become infected by these Engineers who clearly are wearing no Protective Gear, and why have One Egg... what happened to the others?
It could mean they Sacrificed Hosts to Procreate the Xenomorphs and this Temple was a Sacrificial Place for this Purpose... This would fit with HR Gigers Mural to a degree.
But i would think the Engineers would not be storing these Eggs or even just the One Egg in that place... but we do not know the full lay out of the Cathedral and what Doors that can be sealed are between it and the other parts.
Where would they Harvest the Eggs? And how.... is this why they needed Females? The Concept work for the Cathedral Doors had Females on it... with Hair too.... Without Shaws Eggs in Prometheus we have to assume there would be NO DEACON and without Shaw it appears David would not be able to create those XENOMORPHS..
so i think this could be a link/connection but so many things could be due to how ambiguous it is... if Female Eggs are needed and the Black Goo then we have to wonder why those beings would be not so cautious and actually welcoming the Juggernaughts Arrival. If they knew what the Black Goo was and how it is used.
Unless they Actually Worship the Self Sacrifice to create the Xenomorph, and Sacrificing a Few to create Eggs is seen as a very important thing to them.
But then we see the Juggernaught was designed to Drop that kind of Payload... and not merely a Science Vessel thats transporting a few Urns to be taken to use in experiments.
And why did we see no Reliefs/Murals or Statues devoted to the Xenomorph or similar? Prometheus had one.. we clearly know those Engineers had been conducting experiments etc related to the Xenomorph/Deacon.
Paradise they are only Statues etc dedicated to Humanoid Life and not any Xeno related ones..
So all in all i find the Engineers having a Egg or using them for Sacrifices on this place a bit odd.... but RS comments when working on AC when the Synopsis came out...well when AC was announced was that THEY (David and Shaw? or Covenant Crew?) are off to the Planet of the Engineers where THEY (David/Shaw or Covenant Crew) will discover a Evolving Creature that THEY (Engineers or David/Shaw) had made.
(I use the Brackets to highlight the potential multi meaning) as the comment is so ambiguous as to who the THEY could mean in each case.
And so it could be seen as the Engineers Created/Left behind something that had Evolved by the time David and Shaw or the Covenant Crew arrived... but i feel this would have fitted more with David and Shaw discovering a World where most of its inhabitants had became victim to such a thing, but clearly they arrived at a World with a decent Population of maybe a few hundred thousand Engineers. So feels a bit odd.
I think RS has hinted that David created the Eggs some how so this makes more sense.. more so if David Re-designed them from something he discovered either on LV-223/426 or some place he was at prior to arriving on Paradise.
My Two Cents its this...
The Xenomorphs do secret a resin or some other form of matter in order to Produce a Hive, well the Material that Builds them and Cocoons Hosts and this stuff is clearly seen in the Alien Egg Morph Scene.
This Material they use for not only sticking Hosts to, but it must also have some effect on the Xenomorph Hive, i will assume the Material has certain pheromones etc related to it.
I think maybe when a Hive is set up and/or a bunch of Eggs, these both contain something in their Genetic Makeup that gives off some kind of signal that determines what kind of Xenomorph Gestates.
Being away from a Hive/Eggs the Organism Gestating will not detect these signals from other Eggs and Hive... and maybe they will gestate into a Drone that has a purpose to start to create a Hive, well create the Material a Hive is made from, and then capture Hosts.... One Host in some way is used for Egg creation be it Morphed or its Genetic Material has to be consumed by what is the starting point for the Eggs.
This Process leads to a Queen who then needs more Hosts to set up more Drones, that then build a Hive/Nest and once the Hive Nest is set up it sets off Pheromones or other Signals with the Queen also giving off some... that then will determine the Chest Busters to become Warriors instead.
Thats how i interpret the whole Life Cycle, and Hive Creation which includes the Egg Morph and Drone/Warrior.
Thanks!!! :D
Thanks!! :D And, love those GIFs!
Thanks, I hope it's a traditional fetus too! ...Or a bad-ass fetus, like a baby Ripley, lol.
I think I'd have more to worry about if someone had given my husband a David Guinness, no? Thus far he hasn't gotten any crazy eye-worms or black veins nor an urge to willingly incinerate himself, so hopefully we're ok? ^-^
Congratulations i hope its a Traditional Fetus... and no one has been giving you any Special David Guinness ;)
Nice to hear that. Congratulations!

Congratulations!
David is just back engineering something that has already existed for a long time.
Besides, he's not even doing it right. When the Xeno popped out of Oram's chest it looked like a fully formed miniaturized Xeno instead of looking like the little guy that popped out of Kane.
I think we have to remember that there is a big difference between creation and invention. David is creating Xenos but not inventing them.
And, David admires Xenos because they create - they don't invent. But they're very prolific.
OMG :D :D :D my name was mentioned!!! ...and I nearly missed it! I feel so honored!
I think the Xeno was possibly not that hungry at the moment, having just eaten Lambert.
Also, I think it's more intelligent than people give it credit for. It wanted Riley to start the escape shuttle up, so it had a chance of getting to somewhere else populated before killing her.
The Alien was not hiding in the script. It was just going to jump out at her. As I recall reading, they were trying to find a way to make it hidden so that Ripley and the audience would not see it and it would be a surprise. They tried hiding it in the storage locker and other places, but nothing worked. Someone suggested they hide it in the set dressing and make part of the set look like the alien head, so they did that and it blended right in.
Ridley said Ripley “killed it, but it would have died soon anyway” due to the limited life span, so I always assumed that was simply his explanation as to why it was hidden in the duct work. It was going there to go dormant or die.
Lol, I feel you, Starlogger, although now I just don't know, personally! I've changed my in this thread twice already, so current opinion is that I know.
Plus, it's tough for me to argue against what Ridley has most recently said. Still, that means the Alien franchise functions fine without egg morphing, so it might not keep me up at night.
BigDave makes a good point, that whether or not the eggmorph exists, may be revealed soon after this prequel series is finished. While it is jumbled at this point, Fox is usually good about the details and offshoots (books and what not) about the Alien Franchise.
Might as well say Alien 3 was partially a dream too and bring back Hicks. They should do something creative with it, though. Like tie it into the comics and have it something to do with the Queen's ability to mind-rape people like in the comics
Maybe the next movie will be called "Awakening" and we learn that the events of Alien:Covenant were all just a horrible dream that one of the colonists had while in cryosleep!
THAT could be done realistically and allow us a different path than the one we are on, if RS and Fox so choose...
They need to get a new director and fresh writing on board. All of this watered-down CRAP has got to GO!
If Alien Covenant so sexy flute we make you $$$ and Spam free to get BEST OFFER.
I'm interested in the Wal Mart set that includes the "Alien Day" T Shirt. Might have to get that one unless the Target version includes photos/art not included in the big hard bound book: "The Art and Making of Alien Covenant."
@cuponator
"I am thinking that egg morphing is just not a thing"
BINGO!
We spend a lot of time talking on this forum about this "thing" which doesn't exist. While fun to talk about, it just isn't in "this" universe.
Manchester.. United Kingdom where it is always either cloudy or raining but Nothing dampens my Alien spirit!
I think a lot has to do with how it has evolved from Star Beast, with Star Beast it was hinting that the Organism can mature as it gets older to become intelligent and even form a civilization and so could live for a longer period.
But after we got Alien in 1979 it was then portrayed as a Weapon by RS and he had on a few times said they have like a 3-4 day Life Cycle. Which would be ideal for a Purposely Engineered Weapon which i think even as today RS is going down this route that the Xenomorph is a Bio-Weapon Creation and so its creation is to be used as a eradication Tool.
This may just apply to the Xenomorph however... and not the Origins of the Black Goo or maybe other creations from it.
Well i think its a case of will we eventually find out not only the Origins but also how much information we have on how the Organism Procreates...
But then its a case of how much will they leave a Mystery and keep Ambigious.
I think once RS has completed his Prequels to Alien then we could see a reference book released that will give us a Final Complete Study of the XX121 Xenomorph and the Black Goo maybe too.
I always say that Movies are the Ultimate Canon, and so as for now we have a Queen, but we dont know how a Queen would come to be. And we have no Egg Morph but thats not to say we cant rule it out or if this leads to a Queen which would make sense.
The Question will be what RS chooses to show, as David only has TWO Face Huggers and so will end up with TWO Xenomorphs and if RS is going the route that David is responsible for the Eggs on the Derelict then RS will have to address this part of the Xenomorph Life Cycle in how can one of these Organisms lead to more EGGS
So i think we should have a clearer route shown to us when RS completes his Prequels... the Question then is what are his plans next as surely it wont need 5-6 Prequels to Alien and so we have to wonder will he be doing sequels to Alien and how would these effect ALIENS as Canon?
Indeed it leads to a Site that streams copyright material which is against the rules and also the site can put users at a risk as its a heavy Spam and Virus/Mailware heaven.
So i am locking this thread.
This thread is the funny. I promise honest spam and is very salty as no others are the honest in their doings:

It could only work on a Custom since the other models don't have binding on both sides.
Wow- they are beginning to use proper grammar.
there certainly is a spate of them popping up the moment
I never do the learn but maybe there hope be for you at this amazing site bssniffer.com. I promise this service gives a good help for long time!
Maybe I will revive the Spam the Spammer thread.
