Prometheus actor, Guy Pearce recently sat down with IGN and expressed his interest in reprising his role as the superstitious Peter Weyland in Prometheus 2! Though the plot for Prometheus 2 is currently unknown, it's uncertain whether or not the Weyland character will even make an appearance, however Ridley may wish to incorporate various flashback scenes into the film's storyline like in Prometheus. Either that, or they may use use Pearce again for a similar marketing campaign like the TED Talk they did initially with Prometheus back in 2011/2012.
During the interview with IGN, Pearce stated:
"I'd love to go back and play that character again, to work for Ridley again, you know, he's great -- really wonderful to work for. So yeah, I'm very curious to see what he will do next with it."
Ridley Scott was apparently scouting for filming locations in Australia last month for Prometheus 2 and Michael Fassbender confirmed the film's legitimacy last month as well in another interview.
Prometheus 2 is currently set to begin filming this Fall, with the script by Jack Paglen having been re-worked by Michael Green more recently. The details of of the plot remain a secret for the time being and it's likely Fox won't reveal too much about Prometheus 2 before San Diego Comic-Con 2014, if they do.
