Occasionally when browsing for Alien news we stumble upon material which makes us go - WOAH. Today is one of those days. While digging up news on the upcoming Cold Iron Studios' Alien online shooter game, I stumbled upon an ArtStation page where one artist had uploaded a Xenomorph model rendered using zBrush. Ironically, the artwork and video is about 5 years old! To my account however, I do not recall seeing it shared on these forums or on social media during that entire length of time. (It may have been shared in these forums already but I may have missed it - so if you already posted it please let me know in the comments and I will give you proper thanks!)
The artwork is by all accounts remarkable and the test footage is thrilling and terrifying - as any Xenomorph footage should be. Check out the work below and let us know what you think in the comments section!
An Alien test I modeled practicing Zbrush some years ago, then David Cordero(BLR VFX's animator) and JJ(BLR VFX's big boss) finished doing that awesome small video.
