Ridley Scott's Prometheus is currently available to stream on Netflix and already the Alien prequel is trending at #3 on the platform's Top 10 Movies list! While usually only available to stream on the 20th Century Studios-owned Disney+, audiences on Netflix can enjoy re-watching the groundbreaking sci-fi epic as well for the time being. For those unfamiliar, Prometheus involves a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
While controversial when it debuted, the film has since gained cult classic status, with many finding a new appreciation for the film's bold move to expand Alien franchise lore. The film spawned a less popular sequel by way of Alien: Covenant, but played a key role in Fede Alvarez's more popular Alien: Romulus.
