Intense Chestburster scene & Alien: Romulus footage was just shown at CinemaCon!

Apparently some gruesomely intense Alien: Romulus footage was just previewed at CinemaCon, according to Fandango! The footage included a bunch of Facehuggers and a gore-tastic Chestburster scene! The company page just shared the following remarks to their Facebook page:

From #CinemaCon: They just showed up some seriously INTENSE footage from #AlienRomulus. Facehuggers galore, a gore-tastic chestburster and more!

It's very likely this will be the same footage which is said to run with theatrical screenings of Alien this Alien Day, however we don't know for sure!

The Alien appearance is closer to the older films, less fluid movements.
The film has similarities to Alien Isolation.
Look and feel of the original films.

Thanks for the links Neomorph. It's so great hearing the positive feedback from the sneak peek review.

Knowing it has similarities to Alien Isolation gets me more exciting. It's pretty guarantee the visual is going to be great. Now I am hoping a good story, good acting and good music.

Certainly! While I'm generally not a fan of directors taking influence from video games (despite the fact that I love games), Alien Isolation is a big exception because it's so close to the source 1979 material while delivering phenomenal POV scare tactics, coupled with the masterful, thick and razor sharp sound design. Additionally I think the characters are interesting and well-grounded without being exaggerated like in many other games. Amanda Ripley- albeit more or less a mirror of her 79' mother in action, isn't an invulnerable super soldier, but a terrified, vulnerable but also capable survivor. Hopefully the characters in Romulus are similar imo.
