We already know that Michael Fassbender's David 8 android will play a major role in Rildley Scott's Prometheus sequel and given his ability to learn to pilot the Engineer's Juggernaut space vessel in the first film, we have to ask the question - will David learn to utilize Engineer technology in Prometheus 2?
Going by previous interviews with Ridley Scott, we learned that "once his head goes back on", David will become a whole new type of character - insinuating a more sinister agenda. It's not completely ridiculous to assume he may learn to utilize not only Engineer technology but understand and possibly even use their bio-weapons as well.
Given Prometheus' numerous biblical references and undertones, David has been compared to the "Anti-Christ", due to his obsession with killing his "father" or "creator" and his resentment for mankind. Given this correlation, we can assume that David will seek to destroy his cretors, mankind and what better way to do so, than with a weapon, specifically designed to target Human DNA? This of course, is strictly theory for the time being, as we still do not know the extent of the Prometheus 2 plot synopsis.
The artwork however, which inspired this post, was created by Coldesign and features David, partially equipped with Engineer bio-suit/pressure-suit parts. In the background you can also see someone, I'm assuming to be Shaw, running after him. Interestingly as well, the artwork features three Juggernauts leaving the planet's atmosphere (Paradise?), with what looks to be a crashed / burning wreckage on the mountains below. Check it out:
Although this is simply fan artwork, it does ignite some serious questions for what Prometheus 2 might hold. What do you think of this piece?
