MemberOvomorph07/27/2011What if, just if the Sapce Jockey are the Nephilim?? Sounds strange but according to the Sumerians the Nrphalim were like Gods to them, large humanid beings. Seems similar to the Space Jockey concepts. Also according to prophecies, the Annunaki along with the Nephilim will return in 2012 to Earth, to their children they created.
Maybe Scott thought this was a great story which just fits nicely with Prometheus and maybe the point of the Jockey in Alien was that it was a military ship designed to cleanse planets with releasing the eggs, maybe just maybe Earth was the target, the children were the target. You may think this is ludicrous and believe me when I say i am not immature in these thoughts but more of an optomist keeping his mind open as you can never predict what is going to happen with the legend, that is Ridley Scott.

MemberOvomorph07/27/2011Apollo, have you watched 'Ancient Aliens' on the History Channel?
This deals precisely with all these fascinating theories.

MemberOvomorph07/28/2011I will for sure watch that Ancient Aliens, sounds good, Thanks guys for not mocking me thought people would, I am just trying to come up with some theories, ok you can argue why bother, it comes out june 2012 so just wait, but I love speculation as I also learn more about the Alien movies and the Space Jockey for example. I just love it.

MemberOvomorph08/2/2011i couldnt agree more with your take on this. i have been saying since the start that the alien spaceship that crashed on LV-426 was meant for earth.
but i think that the reason why they sent the ship to rid the planet of earth is because we stole the space jockeys terraforming machine which is what made them gods, which upset them, BUT, some how one of the face huggers got onto the space jockey making him crash. if you go back and watch alien and look at the space jockey chest, there you will see that somthing had smashed its way out just like the alien. interesting and very exciting.

Veteran MemberMemberOvomorph08/3/2011 Any way you slice it…whether the Space Jockey crash landed or soft landed on the alien planetoid, “It” or they must have built the Egg Chamber/Hatchery under the derelict ship. It was obviously NOT part of the ship itself, given the vast size of the cavern. If you think the egg silo/chamber was part of the ship…I suggest that you watch the original 1979 ALIEN film again. Notice the scale and size of Dallas, Kane, and Lambert in comparison to the derelict ship and its entrance. Then notice the larger size and immensity of the egg cavern below the Jockey. The mechanical aspects of the egg chamber interiors suggest space jockey design...NOT Alien creature/hive design.
So, whether the Space Jockey(s) crashed or landed, or were on their way to Earth or not…who knows? What the original ’79 film tells us is that they arrived there…built the egg chamber under their ship and that at least one of them died as a result of an alien chestbursting birth.
As for the whole…on their way Earth to punish mankind for stealing their Terraforming machine or technology idea. I don’t mean to be a smart ass but…sounds pretty juvenile. Sounds like something my friends and I would have come up with in the theatre parking lot after seeing ALIEN back in ’79. Anyway, the Terraforming concept was a James Cameron addition in ALIENS. Given Ridley Scott’s sizable ego, I think it’s unlikely that he will use any narrative elements from other films of the franchise (other than his own).
You know what? Since PROMETHEUS takes place decades before the original ALIEN film…Weyland Yutani Company. may not even exist yet. Hmmmm?

Neurion: What are you smoking. I'm all for new ideas but you are in bongland. You say, "whether the Space Jockey crash landed or soft landed on the alien planetoid, It or they must have built the Egg Chamber/Hatchery under the derelict ship. It was obviously NOT part of the ship itself, given the vast size of the cavern." Dude, listen to yourself..... In "Aliens" the ship was entered by the civilian salvage team through a rupture in the hull. Dosen't sound like any soft landing I've heard of. "Under the derelict ship?????? "
Do your reaserch. The eggs were in the hull of the ship podbrain, not under the ship! The pods were being transported. Each bay, between the supporting ribs of the hull, were filled with eggs and the blue mist electronic system signaled any intrusion. I'm gonna stop before I get too rude.
As for the whole…"on their way Earth to punish mankind for stealing their Terraforming machine", That hack script script synopsis is so bogus......The Company exists 30 years before, Ridley has said so, hmmmmmmmm!!Neurion, climb back into your hypersleep chamber. We'll wake you in about a year.

Veteran MemberMemberOvomorph08/4/2011Dear “ASTROGLIDE”,
Someone as opinionated as yourself, should really have THEIR facts straight before they criticize their intellectual superiors. Okay ASStro, let’s start with the location of the eggs. I have little doubt that the Space Jockey vessel did originally contain a cargo of alien eggs somewhere in it’s interiors, even though it is never shown in the original film. I say that the vessel landed or crashed, one way or another on it’s mountain top perch. The question is: Was the egg chamber previously prepared/ built or did the Space jockey(s) build it after their most recent arrival. Either way…something obviously went wrong and there was an Alien outbreak. Hence, the chestbursted Jockey.
I am very aware of Derelict interiors as depicted in the original ALIEN film. I still hold that if a person has any sense of scale…they will ultimately conclude that the egg chamber is within the mountain or rock formation upon which the ship is sitting.
If I were you, I would take a closer look at the scenes involving the Derelict ship in ALIEN and ALIENS. If you use your gray matter, you may notice that the ship in ALIENS has sustained further damage during 57 years...which was not due to a crash. The following corroborates my view that the Derelict may have originally landed normally (not crashed).

An Excerpt from:
THE BLOODY BEST OF FANGORIA f6. This essay, Cameron's reply to readers' letters on ALIENS, was addressed to the Communications department but is published here as part of the ongoing SF professionals' forum, Other Voices.
By James Cameron
"Why do the colonists not pick up the derelict SOS?" by which I assume he is referring to the acoustic beacon broadcasting a "warning." As some readers may know, scenes were filmed but cut from the final release version of the film which depicted the discovery of the derelict by a mom-and-pop geological survey (i.e.: prospecting) team. As scripted, they were given the general coordinates of its position by the manager of the colony, on orders from Carter Burke. It is not directly stated, but presumed, that Burke could only have gotten that information from Ripley or from the black-box flight recorder aboard the shuttle Narcissus, which accessed the Nostromo's on-board computer. When the Jordan family, including young Newt, reach the coordinates, they discover the derelict ship. Since we and the Nostromo crew last saw it, it has been damaged by volcanic activity, a lava flow having crushed it against a rock outcropping and ripped open its hull. Aside from considerations of visual interest, this serves as a justification for the acoustic beacon being non-operational.”

So there you have it…right from Jimmy Cameron’s own keystrokes.
By the way, if you slow down actually read my previous post, you will see that I was actually criticizing the idea of the “stolen Terraforming technology”. Dude, you really should “think” before you bark. It’s alright…I forgive you. Your post reveals you to be fairly immature and or ignorant. No worries…I can pardon youthful indiscretion. After all, I was probably watching ALIEN at Hollywood Egyptian Theater before your parents even met.
You are my lucky star,
Neurion
P.S. I hope this post doesn’t come off as too hostile. It’s just that your response to me was soooo smart assy…I just couldn’t help it. Still friends in Alien?
