I just found one of the many answers you mentioned to part 2 of the question. I looked up & through every single person who worked on all 3 films except 1and in the end it turned out that one guy had a link to all 3... he worked on all 3 for sure...I think maybe even in a writing capacity for all 3!! Ronald Shusett !!!

Yup.....Ron co-wrote story (Alien) and characters on both..and produced King kong lives..or Linda hamilton starred in KKL.. married Cmeron who directed Aliens..and ron produced King kong lives and Co scripted the story for Alien...NIght all...
