Director Ridley Scott would love it if you walked into his upcoming sci-fi thriller cold. Most of the actors have played nice, refusing to reveal too much about the plot. Yet, as its June release date approaches, more and more story details can't help but leak out.
The first trailer for Prometheus reveals that its more than subtly tied to Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien. The notorious Space Jockeys first hinted at in the opening of that original film play a key role here. And now we know what that role is, as one of the secondary actors has let some new story details slip about these mysterious beings.
If you want to stay fresh and clean, stop reading now. Because: Major Spoilers lie ahead!
Game of Thrones actress Kate Dickie has revealed that she plays Mudow, a crew member of the spaceship Prometheus responsible for awakening the others out of their cryogenic sleep at the beginning of the movie, a scene pulled directly from both Alien and Aliens.
Soon after the crew is awakened, they "meet a terrifying host of vicious, skeletal alien monstrosities which chase the crew through the halls of their spaceship." Kate Dickie apparently only makes it through 28 minutes of the film before being "eaten" by one of these monsters, presumed to be the Space Jockeys.
Mudow is set to serve as a fitness trainer, who gets the Prometheus crew in shape after so many months of cryo-sleep. "With their muscles wasted from five years without use, she helps them to get fit - only for them to fall victims to horrible creatures that begin stalking them for food."
So if Kate Dickie is telling the truth, the Space Jockeys are vicious monsters that eat people. And there you have the gist of the movie.
Prometheus comes to theaters June 8th, 2012 and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

I agree we need to bring our ideas together and make a film. Start our own film studio. Get the business rolling that way. But yes the Alien series is what truly inspired me to become a filmmaker. There's really no other series like it and its really how all my inspiration started.[/quote]

MemberOvomorph01/19/2012lol, like I said many many times in the thread, could very well be but either way It won't effect how I see the film, even if it turned out to be true. I have complete faith in Ridley Scott & H R Giger either way.

MemberOvomorph01/19/2012anyway, back to the subject at hand (and you guys call yourselves moderators :-P)
This was originally printed in a UK Gossip rag. It was called out as a hoax back then due to many things (IE. Characters name, contradictory supposed plot and plain gossip) and this story is only regurgitating the same exact so-called quotes. I call total BS and would highly recommend not believing any of this until something concrete surfaces.

But this sounds very weird, aren't the space jockeys supposed to be intelligent and sophisticated creatures? Maybe those monsters aren't the space jockeys, they can be one of their creations. But why would the Space jockeys attack us or send some species like that to attack us? That's reaaly weird.
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

MemberOvomorph01/20/2012i doubt this...sounds cool but yeah the space jockeys dont look like killers i mean thee jockey was killed by a xenomorph. and it looks like the people are the ones that are killing one another

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph01/20/2012to me it looks like the green goo is killing everyone and one guy appears to be killing others only after being mutated by what else, but that same green goo.

MemberOvomorph01/20/2012Hello, I'm new here
good site by the way, her I followed for some time. Perhaps this issue this forgotten something, but sometimes I think the Urns contain DNA of all species on Earth, bone prior to the stellar journey archaeological discovery. It is just something that came to me to mind, obviously prefer to be containers for the bioformador or proto-facehugger. but that would support the fact that the crew is pursued by the alleged skeletal monstrosities in the Prometheus. Although I doubt it since the jockeys appear to be advanced and beings not animal predators hungry for blood, even if they play the role of villains in the film.
Best regards

MemberOvomorph01/21/2012the paper who printed this so called interview is a complete tabloid rag who wouldn't know the truth if it bursted from their chests. trust me, I'm an android, lol. no seriously, its a british paper, and I'm british so I can honestly say, its bs.
I'll be a laughing stock if I'm wrong now, lol
but most people buy it for the page 3 girls as opposed to the actual 'news' they report, so......

PerfectOrganism
MemberOvomorph01/21/2012OOOPS. Its been reported in this magazine too. Well I could be wrong but it sounds as if the paper I'm on about stole and twisted their story from this. My bad. But the skeletal creatures thing sounds similar to the fake leaked script that was doing the rounds not too long ago.

MemberOvomorph01/21/2012the interview occurred...the paper reported the info in an then and got one of the crew names wrong in this haste to do so. The bottom line is if any one is chased through the halls of Prometheus by Creatures in the film this Mag and Kate Dickie are going to be sued through the nose among other parts of their bodys.
AVP verified then reported the story initially after it popped up on several spots on the net.
We now know the interview did in fact take place.
We also now know Katie Dickie spoke to them at length but that only 2 quotes can be directly attributed to her...neither mention or refer to the plot...
all the same, AVP stands by the report and here are some of it's highlights...
For starters, it mentions that her character lasts 28 minutes in the film before an alien eats her.
The aliens actually chase the characters through the halls of the Prometheus ship.
Her character is called Mudow and she helps the crew become acclimated to their
removal from cryo-sleep.
Frantz claims AVP and the Scottish Newspaper have her character wrong and that she plays someone else, which for me I find to be the single most fascinating thing in all of this because only one of them...AVP, The Scottish Newspaper, or Frantz can be wrong !!!
She either plays Mudow or does not. If she doesn't O.K. then we know the story was fabricated but so far no one has said a word that would discredit the report at all, right now it seems to be standing as FACT.
After apparently five years in hyper sleep, she helps the crew get fit only for the crew to fall victim to creatures stalking them for food
The Daily Star, a Scottish newspaper recently interviewed Prometheus actress, Kate Dickie regarding her role in the film and what it was like to be a part of Ridley Scott's masterpiece.
In the interview, Kate reveals the name of her character which she plays in Prometheus; her name being "Mudow". She also goes on to say how her character is responsible for preparing the crew of the Prometheus after 5 years of hyper-sleep, but only lasts 28 minutes before being eaten by an Alien.
She also mentions how the crew of Prometheus are chased through the halls of their ship by "Skeletal Monstrosities".
Also, near the end of the article she"hints" that the ending of Prometheus leads into the opening of Alien. You can check out scans of this article on AvPGalaxy.net.
