The ship it's self is a giant maze you can't get out of and you need things to survive. You could try to self destruct the ship in time before more facehuggers are born but you need to complete tasks and levels to reach the rank to download the codes to blow up the ship. A flameflower will help but you can't kill it. It's hunting you and messing with your mind. Watch out for the science officer he's really a robot that lost a few bolts. To escape on a shuttle you have to outsmart the alien but you can't do that until you find Jonesy and put him in a box.

There's a PC game called Amnesia you should check out Ruh, you wake up with amnesia (der) you have to find sources of light in a castle and can't kill any of the monsters. If you do have light, the monsters can find you easier. Bloody creepy as ;-)

MemberOvomorphMar-09-2012 5:56 AMDead Space did an awesome job of capturing the same sort of tension as Alien. When it was first released I was blown away.

MemberOvomorphMar-09-2012 6:10 AMApparently Colonial Marines was held back to have a Derelict level put in it. Personally I cannot wait for CM. Not many other decent Alien games I can think of apart from AVSP arcade version, the recent reboot of AVP was a bit of a let down.

MemberOvomorphMar-09-2012 7:03 AMSo happy to hear this...I pre ordered it for the Ps3 and am very excited to Kick everyone's Butt, swarm into the Derelict and Swallow all of the Eggs.

Co-AdminMemberOvomorphMar-09-2012 8:09 AMDead Space was awesome. The sequel sucked, however. Nowhere near as atmospheric as the first.
Still not too sure about Colonial Marines. I'll probably rent it first or wait to see what sort of reviews it gets......... I just can't buy that a) the colony buildings survived that explosion and b) there's anything left alive in the area for an Alien to infect.

MemberOvomorphMar-11-2012 1:45 PMI remember back in 87 or so there was an alien game for the commador 64. It was a top down, turn based game where you had to keep at least 3 members of the crew alive and gather the oxygen for the escape in the shuttle. You could only have 3 people in one room at a time and could only move one person at a time. A room with 2 or less people meant that the alien could attack...creepy heart beat vibe and scary as hell back then. I am looking forward to CM though I wasn't too impressed with the latest AVP game. The original AVP game was far better, intense wise.

MemberOvomorphMar-13-2012 9:23 AMAnyone remember the Aliens arcade game? There was one at a dive bar in Ocean City, MD until a few years ago. Man, that brings me back to my childhood!!!

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 8:32 PMThere's actually supposed to be a game based on Alien being developed by Creative Assembly. The article I read Steam on the Empire Total War Page it was based on Alien, so I'm not sure if that means the Alien Quadrilogy as a whole or just simple Ridley Scott's Alien. The vibe I got was that it was going to be based on the first movie which would be pretty awsome since it wouldn't simply be a shoot em up and run like hell and get burnt by acid the way the new AVP was.
