the "reflection" theory...

What I find strange about the "reflection" theory is that the blue guy is clearly walking in a path that is behind the sphere. So geometrically we would never see the reflected image. From the camera POV, we could be viewing a "refraction", but also it should be distorted. And finally, no other object in the room seems to be "reflected" or "refracted" in the sphere´s walls.
