Alien/ Prometheus: Sorry if redundant

The images of the Engineers, the strange creatures in the film (such as the one that crawls up the crewman's arm in the international trailer) and the return of Giger's art all lead to a lot of nights of zero sleep.
In other words: I am a happy man. Prometheus to me seems like Ridley Scott's return to themes he wanted to explore in "Alien."
I see many posts about chestbursters, facehuggers, xenomorphs, and the like. But I hope none of those are in the film. I hope we see how we get to them. The facehugger has to come from somewhere.
Does the Prometheus cause the creation of the xenomorph? Does the presence of the Prometheus cause the engineers to either A). Create a new weapon to destroy humanity? or B). Resurrect and old blight they once used to clean a planet?
B. is far from a new thought, but it is still interesting.
Then there is C)....
Does someone from Weyland, Weyland-Yutani, or the Prometheus create the path to the xenomorph, perhaps corrupting the Engineer's tech?
All of this I feel will tie into a macro-theme of creation, which has been discussed. Bio-mechanical/synthetic creation (like David and perhaps like the Engineers) and natural creation (through sexual relations). But add to this the violent nature of birth as seen in Alien...Forced creation vs. natural creation/sexuality.
I feel this film will stand on its own, but we will see a definite move to the nastiness of the creature in "Alien."
Now, I am relying on all of those here because I will miss Prometheus this year. I have waited for many years for this film, but alas, no Prometheus for me. Help me to get as much Prometheus as I can.
One more thing: Excuse me if this is a redundant post.
