Is Vickers a Synthetic?

I wouldn't be surprised if she is a synthetic. According to the Weyland Corporate timeline, "Only 7% of humans can recognize the sixth generation of David as a cybernetic individual. - February 26, 2062"
And on the main page in module B, it states:
"OUR FAMILY IS GROWING: Weyland engineers have been working around the clock to bring you the newest, most advanced addition to the Weyland family. Stay tuned for a special announcement."
Perhaps Weyland industries has created a female android. And, her mission objective is probably representing the Company, and bringing back what ever it is that they want her to bring back. Obviously Weyland Industries have ulterior motives behind this mission. They must have knowledge of something that they want to secure and bring back to earth. Also, her emotional detachment can be seen in most human corporate executives, so the humans on board are probably not aware that she is one. They know that David is an android, and it would seem that from the trailers, his mission is scientific. Also, he is a more well know model, and according to the timeline, they are all named David.
If we think about Alien, which takes place 50 years later, no one on board had a clue that Ash was an android. And his primary objective was to secure the life form and bring it back, with no regards to the crew. At this point, 50 years later from Prometheus, Weyland Industries was well aware of the biological life form that was discovered by the Prometheus mission. I wouldn't be surprised if Vickers is the one that brings back that information. Perhaps she is not able to escape with it, but she definitely lets Weyland Industries know about what happened and what they found.
I think that David will prove to be more benevolent and curious. He has plenty of time to think about things in that 2 year trip while the humans are sleeping.
Also, remember at the beginning of Alien, Ash was also in the Cryo beds. At this point in the future, they had developed an automated system to wake everyone up.

I think it's possible that Vickers is a contrast for David... David's arc may be that he is an android that turns out to have very human qualities - while Vickers maybe an example of how a human being can have less humanity than an android... a cold calulating suit showing little or no emotion... that's what I see so far.

As the cool blonde, tough company lady Vickers would be THE suspect for an android, but Ridley likes to play games with his hints..
yum yum Shaw model for me...
with optional dish washing programm please.

I don't think she's an android because it would be too obvious. Remember what Scott said at the Comic Con Q&A: "I just felt we've been there , seen it and done it ".
It just wouldn't be surprising anymore if one of the crew members turns out to be a robot...
You don\\\'t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

Think Theron said she was inspired by Tilda Swinton's performance in Michael Clayton--specifically a scene where she is losing it inside and trying to keep herself together. Seems like a very "human" inspiration.
And the ritual exercise (pretty human activity).
But I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Imagine it could also be the case that she becomes an infected host or something as well--becoming more robotic in nature-- and yet, that seems oddest of all.
I'm most intrigued by the magazine article stating that her agenda may be the most intresting, but I don't recall the specific quote, nor do I recall if that was just continued speculation. Something regarding her relationship to Weyland.

I'd rather see Vickers as a Hello Kitty than an android, because it's just too damn predictable. E.. Elizabeth. I like that idea, but it can't be that way, it just can't. We saw her all bloody, desperate, very emotional and so on. So I doubt it.
I liked someones idea about Janek being android. It would explain his "mouth gasp" in one of the teasers/trailers lol. Or maybe it's even Holloway? Uhm. Maybe not.

Its a tough one to call.
She does stay back on Prometheus from her interviews so she does not venture out onto the Planet Often.
The Scene where it apears she is standing in a Coridor does look like she could be a Andriod.
Then she does seem a bit clueless as to whats going on in some parts, so she must not fully know... and that inc Weyland what they are in store for.
Also she is one of those with the Flammers Torching Something, which leads to the Scene where the infected/Hybrid Human Attacks them from off the Top of the ATV.
Maybe she is not Andriod as per Say but Cyborg? Meaning she is part Human?

Cyborg, yeah. Good call.
And a good guess given that this scenario would be something new.
Extrapolating this thought, even though she is her own person, she may also be the eyes and ears of Peter Weyland, linked on one level or another.

"The way she shows emotion and stress when running and getting to the escape pod (before the ship crashes in the space jockeys craft) would point toward this. An android would surely just unemotionally follow any programming instruction in its system to calmly and quickly get the hell out of there."
lol....have you watched 'Alien'? I'm betting you have not....one word...Ash

Elizabeth as a Synth, now that would rock, but she shown bloody and so on.
Of course, it would be a homage to Blade Runner, but if she was a replicant...
March 29, 2012
I don't like to link this with Blade Runner, but the idea of her being an android who knows nothing about it would be cool.
Or maybe the entire crew is a bunch of droids. That's impossible though, but still would rock.

Dont for get by Cyborg that does not mean someone has to be a certain mix of Man and Machine.
You dont have to have a Robotic Arm to be Cyborg? Darth Vader is Cyborg, So is Will Smith in I Robot... by the above definition.
Someone with a Computer chip that is inplanted into the Brain and Nervous System would also be Cyborg. Controlled by someone else.
Imagine in future i think Mankind could create from Gene/DNA a genome soldier who would be controlled via a Micro Chip the Ultimate Soldier.
We dont know, maybe Vickers is simular.
By that same Token the Andriod David is a Machine a Computer and it could be programed with some code/law that prevent it from being able to realise that Vickers is nothing but Human.
Again these are just guess work and i dont even think they could be the case, its just a wild theory.
Where as David = Andriod, Space Jockeys = Large Humaniods in Bio Mechanical Suits

I think these 'artificial persons' (Bishop would be offended at synth) are pretty much human complexity, emotionally and intelligence-wise and not robots in the traditional sense...literally humans with white blood
if there are two 'artificial persons' in Prometheus, we can guess the other by elimination. It sure as hell aint Janek, he is too country...We know it ain't the archeology couple Shaw and Holloway...David we already know is a synth...that leaves Vickers or tattoo face guy (whats his name again?)
