A Circular State of Promethean Affairs

I posted the following in another thread and will add to it as my wheels have been turning to the point where the idea has settled into a nice, comfortable place of being... .......Prometheus is the blue fellow we see standing at the waterfall. He steals fire or knowledge from his fellow engineers/SpaceJockies and gifts it to humanity at the dawn of OUR time.....He is punished by his fellow enigneers, hence the affliction we see him dealing with above the falls and the loose origin of the Greek Promethean myth... [img]http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x368/bipolarestancia/Prometheus-Space-Jockey-close-up_.png[/img] [img]http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l546/aliennaire/Prometheus/blue_guy1.jpg[/img] ...is another member of his race who, upon seeing the extent to which we have advanced by our arrival on their planet, decides it is time to deal with any threat we pose by going to earth and unleashing God knows what, hence Shaw's horror that if the crew does nothing, "...there won't be any home to go back to." I also accept the probability that the crew takes what is not theirs, facilitating the ire and wrath of the SpaceJockies......and bringing the Promethean myth full circle in that the crew suffers their own Promethean punishment for attempting to gift to themselves secrets they were not meant to know..... This would all tie things together nicely.....I'm probably wrong and totally full of it as usual, but I like the idea.......
