What's In A Name?

Maybe the ship's called Prometheus because that's what the mission is about. ie. Weyland wants to steel from the Gods!

lol what else should they name it? "space jockey" or "not an alien prequel, but yet it is" ?

Yeah, that was a strange decision. I'd hope they have an explanation for the name of the ship, but no idea what that would be. Why would they force that in anyhow? I don't get it.

Well there ya go then...................nasa wasnt following clues left in cave walls and certainly didnt steal any technology yet still named their mission Project Prometheus. Yes its plausible.

I for one, wouldn't do that. like i build a ship and call it Titanic.
