Rings of Prometheus?

Oh my gosh......their identicle.........perhaps the ring is what opens up which means that it must be upside down on the planet.

Perhaps It crashed too.... jajaja Well it seems it would be too much of a coincidence, those marks, this might mean they´re both related, so, as someone state on another thread, the saucer might be somekind of mothership, not very excited about it, if that´s the case, but if they do it well it might work well.

Good catch. Could the derelict ships be grown inside these larger ships while they are buried on a planet? Was one buried on earth?

nice find.. but I dont think that that big saucer is in the ground and houses all the derelicts. We have seen on fotos that there must [i]at least[/i] be 4 or five temples on LV-223. What if that's not the ground the Prometheus is pulling away from, but actually the saucer shaped ship in a tight shot?

What if the spacejockeys were investigating something new to them as well:this huge ship and the beings shown on the starmap invitation. They got there first though and we stumble upon their underground exploration crew or what is left of it.

I like the mother ship idea. People just seem to be getting upset because ridley doesn't share there imagination/image of the space jockey they have spent years formulating.

The space jockeys/engineers are similar to Weyland Corp vs Yutani Corp in their pursuit for more power. They travel the stars to acquire , renew, or develop resources. PROMETHEUS is a introduction to their existence, but wont give us their history, just their current status. The wider shot of the Prometheus ascending reveals a large what appear flat plain with a lot of geometrical shapes that look like roads, but could also be the segment lines of a mega saucer(Please don't be another 50's flying hub cap movie). I get the vibe that there once was a active facility there, that became dormant after stasis was achieved. Its ALL about the shares, and control of power. It was never personal. Our mental version of PROMETHEUS will be a contributing factor in our disappointment. See the teasers but keep your thoughts in check or else prepare for the inevitable. =)) ***REMEMBER FOLKS: It's just a movie, keep your theories grounded and efficient. Sir Ridley HATES overzealous concepts that dwell more on child like wonder instead of adult like reality.***

YES! SJ may not be the most dominant life form in this film! I LOVE THAT IDEA. If thats the case we may be looking at 3 seperate entities/lifeforms in this film. Not including humans/androids. Makes me wonder if Mr.blue is a SJ, or just a result of human meddling in the gods' kitchen?

i still think whatever drives the mother ship if that's the case is also the pilots of the derelict type craft.

Maybe but then i guess we have to ask a few things... 1) There apears to be Dead Space Jockeys, the crew find ones head/helmet maybe next to what looks like ones decapatated head. 2) The Blue Guy is seen in two scenes causing terror in other crew members. 3) I think we look at the statement that Ridley had made that the Space Jockey is a suit. 4) The movie is connected to the Prometheus Myth (Titans) and also links with creators from ancient civilisation inc Egyptians and Sumerians... now those Gods/Creators are depicted as Human looking just about double our height. Well the Blue Guy apears to stand about that size and looks Human, that Statue looks Human and so i think thats the connection, trying to link what those Anunaki and Titans was, and that they was indeed the Blue Guy/Engineer race.

I came up with a weird idea of how the SJ's head got chopped off :) ... check this image out if you will ... it's self explanatory I hope ... only noticed the different shape & sizes of the two different doors, the other night, after going through the trailers YET AGAIN :) ... I reckon the HUGE door decapitated the SJ somehow ... as as you can see in the image, I reckon the SJ's body and his head are either side of the door to the Big Head chamber ... just a theory ;) ... @Bio ... I think it was Phil who may of noticed the ring connection of the ship and the planet line markings? ... someone on this forum definitely did a while back ...
