Maybe...that would be great. Everyone knows you can't trust an ex-con so, when it all goes wrong they can all just blame him. They'd all be in the clear - if they weren't already dead, or metamorphosed into an ugly alien hybrid.

No. He's stated in an interview (Empire I think) that's he's a geologist who's been on far far too many interstellar trips and is frankly bored of it all. His rather unique look is something he just came up with and Riddles let him run with it.

I'm thinking of getting my hair done like Fifield (only not ginger). Not sure about the tats though.

Of course! Because clearly everyone who has tattoos got them while in prison and clearly if you are sending a team of highly trained scientists to make first contact with an alien species you need to send an ex-convict along for the ride. Makes so much sense!

I could not imagine Vickers with tatts...not her style at all. The others having ink is fine with me..
