Prometheus Individual Escape Pod Question: How Do You Move Around And Eat In It

Think about it. As we can see when VIckers gets in it, the pod is contoured around the human body so it can fit in it snugly. When I see the doors close on it and eject in the featurette it made me wonder something. If the crew had to bail out of the Prometheus using the individual pods because it was badly damaged in space, did the ships designers (or film model makers in reality) of the pods stop to think if they were adrift in space for days or weeks that the pods inhabitants wouldn't be able to have room to move their arms to reach up and remove their helmets? Also it looks like their is no room to use their arms to eat anything, that is if the pod has food supplies on board in which it looks as though it doesn't. Have any of you thought of this?
