I have figured out Vickers Secret Agenda !

Yutani is a Japanese company and Michelle Yeoh is Malaysian/Chinese. I know this is interchangeable at times but it's kinda obvious they are different nationalities (if that was your reasoning) Just because an Asian actress was going to play Vickers doesn't mean she was a Yutani member. Also I'm sure Weyland and Yutani hire all sorts of Asians. I don't think anyone really knows what is going on because reading all the news this past week has really thrown lots of the forum speculations out of consideration.

While we only see so far in Prometheus Weyland Corp... The synopsis did say two corperations that are at war of the of resources on Earth. We can take it Weyland is one of those, and that Yutani could well be the other. So the potential for Vickers to be a Yutani Agent can still be a posibility. Just because their is no Yutani in the trailers etc does not mean it wont be in or connected to the movie. No one knows the end of the movie yet, but if someone did and said so on here then it would not be taken as fact untill the rest of us have seen and confirmed it. Therefore if Yutani plays a part in this movie but its a part of the plot that Ridley wont want to give away, then we wont get no proof untill we see the movie. Does that means thats whats going on, who knows.

The point is he wanted someone who looked Japanese to play the part.

Snorky the Funding was provided by Weyland, the Hardware by Yutani...including the Weapons of which I now believe Vickers is one. I also believe the last thing to happen on board Prometheus before Shaw has a close encounter with the XENOMORPH's direct predecessor is that SHAW will KILL or deactivate Vickers.

kinda makes sense. With weyland dead or any descendants, the company would be in chaos, the board of directors would be tearing into each other on what to do, and then yutani corp can move for a corporate takeover. It is the only way they could beat weyland industries, since it looks from the viral website weyland beats them every time they come up with new patents and tech.

I do think VIckers will have a major change up that is a great "oh $hit!" moment. Charlize Theron can do that well. I totally hated her for years after Reindeer Games. What a mind screw that was. So yeah Spartacus I think you are on to something suggesting she is going to throw us some kind of major curve ball.

yeah because the tech comes from weyland too. all the tech is on the weyland website so I have no idea why you say yutani provides the hardware.

Meredith Vickers just doesn't scream Oriental to me, now Wang Chung does. I thought it was a role between Jolie and Theron.

Remember that a Yutani revelation witll be cool for 1% of people in the theatre while the 99% will mumble "Yutani who ?" I mean the Weyland Yutani thing is really for long time fans ... a surprise like than will touch only a very minimal part of the audience .

and the merger was established in Aliens. they were still separate in Alien.

Then its more believable that a collapse of weyland leadership allows yutani to move for corporate takeover. With weyland out of the picture (for real, not quasi-dead), weyland would collapse financially, specially if there is no succesor for CEO/President.

I have been deliberately staying out but I have to add something now after what I have read... This is info from Ridley from about 3 1/2 weeks ago which he gave to The Guardian In the U.K. We can probably assume that Vickers is ultimately in the pay of Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), founder and head of Weyland Corp, which presumably morphs later on into the Weyland-Yutani company introduced in James Cameron's Aliens and which Scott last week revealed is the major link between Alien and Prometheus. The Only difference or different spin I see happening is this.. We know this for a fact from the Weyland Timeline... "After years of litigation, Weyland wins the David patent lawsuit against the Japanese start-up Yutani Corporation, effectively protecting the investments of both Weyland Industries and its shareholders. December 12, 2029" I say Yutani still has a lot of bad blood over this and Vickers is Her Puppy, sent to give Yutani a major competitive edge and all of this is unknown to The Weyland Company !!!
