If you asked David8 if he is conscious, what would he answer?

I'm curious what David8's answer would be if you asked him if he was conscious or aware. If he says he is "aware" and that he "is", would this be a strong indication that he might actually be? Could he just be programmed to reply that way?

the most important difference to man is he isnt able to [i]feel[/i], having real [i]empathy[/i], so if I were a crew memeber I would take every witty, intelligent statement or even philosophy by him with a grain of salt..His functions are programmed, he is able to learn, ok.. but he says it by himself in the viral vid, he [i]understands[/i] mens feelings even if he isnt able to..
