Proteus sounds as close as you can get to Prometheus without being so unoriginal as to call it Prometheus 2 or II...
Plus it alsows the mythology to morph and spin into something else from what it was to begin with...
I noticed he/she: A L I E N F A N got a bit of unfair returns leveled at him/her and so became 'defender' of his/her idea. I just want you to know that it really sounds like a cool concept or idea that you have there. It could be kida cool when you think about it for a minute or so... Maybe two!
I think you came up with some very exciting possibilities in your idea thread and I just wanted to say for the record that I am impressed by you and your thinking. Your alright in my book! Good on you if you are still around on site as I have read-up on some of the mythology and some peoole dared to correct you in one of your spellings of what you said was CRONOS and I read it and it is spelt as you said it was A L I E N F A N.
It may have the other spellings as some-ohters claimed or stated but I got totally what you were trying to get across, o.k. Not so sure about FETUS but I can see what you were trying to convey across without all the silly disrespecful, back-biting comments that soon followed. Yes, people have an opinion as well I know but it did seem as thought certain individuals were trying to talk around you and your idea while upon your thread about something else completely and entirely like you never even existed and that, i felt was blatantly ignorant of some people upon here. But hey, I guess thats just me too!
So you take it easy alright A L I E N F A N. And keep the good ideas flowing in because wouldn't it be a feather in your cap to prove eveybody wrong and you were right if the makers of Prometheus ended up going down that very same path and using that very term as you suggested!
P R O T E U S
Now that would be cool! And I sincerely mean it! All right!
Keep up the good ideas!!!
See you around the site! :-)

Well, this all seems just a lil' bit too peculiar, you know, and it's got me damn confused.
So, you think ALIENFAN is the best - that's nice but, then, why would you not just send an ALIENFAN an email and say that?
Y-You're going to....create a entire thread?..
Where all you do is talk about ALIENFAN and how great you think ALIENFAN is and, basically, how misunderstood is ALIENFAN's genius?..
I mean.......?.........

How shameful.

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 12:54 PMNo, I think it sonds interesing thats all and I guess I'm just vocal about it... There's no strangeness or anything it's just an innocent statement on my part... JEEZ!
If you had what I considered a good idea I would chaspion it in the same fashion even if it were poo-pooed by others... i'm perhaps thinking I shouldn't have staed what I thought was an innocent comment... So lets all talk about something else more positive and supportive shall we... and who's to say that I didn't also message someone in private, but thats my perogative I guess... Just thought I should just put it out there about the Proteous idea and all...
... anyway

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 12:57 PMI was under the impression it was LV-426? Isn't that correct?

THE M O N O L I T H
MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:00 PMDo you know why it is being called LV-223? anyone

SaintsSinphony
MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:00 PMisn't Proteus the name of that Kevin Spacey character in K-pax.
Dude you started the thread so you made the comments you kind of have to live with it. Sometimes life is rough out here on the internet but you just live and learn and move on. Sure I may like some things but never speak of them in an open forum.
It's like the A to M conversation. Sure people like it but they never say it. Mostly they don't say it, mostly.

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:04 PMplanets 'grow' in LV years (like a dog - 1 year actually is 7 years) - this was 29 years in the past. So 29 x 7 = 203 + 223 = 426 LV years old

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:05 PM@THE M O N O L I T H: Yeah that's right. It all happens on LV-426

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:05 PMI'm just being supportive of those who seem to have their 'voice' pushed out... I guess thats what you get for speaking out... Maybe thats why the other guy don't seem to be on here much. Anyway, if someone could provide an answer to the LV-223 conundrum for me I would be most grateful... Thanks! :-)

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:09 PMwell i thought the fact that the planet is alive and grows was discussed to death and confirmed by Ridley himself months back...so didnt think it was necessary - and A L I...soryy, THE M O N O L I T H genuinely wanted to know
sorry man...

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:21 PMI've had a good laugh at this too, am waiting for
Prometheus 3: A N A L C O I T U S to appear next :-)

JP
MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:23 PMby then I reckon LV would be 658 years old and just a planet full of asshuggers hugging themselves because there are simply no asses left to hug

SaintsSinphony
MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:24 PMactually asshugger is the hilarious name given to a creature in prometheus the forum it started in was awesome and forgive me but I don't even remember how it was started or who said it but I give them mad props because it was funny as hell
LV 223 is the planet prometheus takes place on just search for it on this site or your favorite search engine and youll find a wealth of information
IMO you should stick to one name "if" that is what is going on either way I need no explanation just stick to one
I'm moving on now. goodbye

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:26 PM@THEMONOLITH
but yeah LV 223 is cause this movie is in the future so it isn't LV 426 yet its not old enough to be called that ; )

MemberOvomorphMay-04-2012 1:35 PMThe mod's/admins should introduce a short questionaire in order to register, just about the basic known film's facts. It would keep trolls, spambots, idiots AND malfunctioning monoliths at distance! I've said it before, but no one's listening. On the other hand, discussions like this are prizeless and most entertaining. LOL
