Are Humans & Xenos related?

The more details that are being uncovered about the premise of Prometheus the more I am thinking that these 'beings' if indeed are our creators through their genetic experimentation they could have in fact spliced our DNA with another creation to make another species; the xeno! We know there is an element of human mutation in the movie, why cant the Xeno just be the result of another of the engineers diabolical experiments? The xeno in the form we all know is conspicuous by its absence which further convinces me that they have not yet been created as the creators needed our DNA to complete their masterplan of the perfect biological weapon.

I am more of a believer that the typical xenomorph is from another planet. Likely collected for it's amazing aggression and survival tactics. It is the ultimate weapon if you were able to control it (highly unlikely). I think the typical xenomorph we have seen in Alien and Aliens has the same basic features of 2 arms and 2 legs but changes slightly depending on host.

I personally don't believe that the creation of the xenos was intended... I think they are a result of the prometheus crew coming to this planet and screw things up by getting in contact with some of the alien species that we see in the trailers. Perhaps holloway gets infected and then makes out with Shaw resulting in the human embryo getting mixed with the alien parasite, which we see in holloway's eye. The final result could be the beginning of the xeno species.
