Advanced screening reaction tweets - discussion w/ only links to **SPOILERS**

ermm alright, sorry for while I have been writing this another thread was started on the same topic. Please, consider not blocking this one right away as I'm providing the link and mostly I'd like some feedback on how people would best want me to post stuff I'm translating, for it's quite long...

I think the general feeling is that most on this site dont want to know what happens until they have seen the film for themselves. people who post stuff like this strike me as the kind of kid who couldn't wait till christmas to open their prezzies.

possibly. I am sorry if that's the general feeling and I'm breaking some unwritten rule here, really not my intent. For info, as I usually look at spoilers as they don't ruin the thrill of the movie for me, I can tell those are only reaction tweets and replies to some fanboy questions by someone who genuinely doesn't seem too much into it. Hence, it provides a few confirmations and may give 1.5 new pathways that weren't considered until now, but it's really not a give out / breaking of the whole movie. again, sorry if I'm not abiding by any tacit rule

The face that its called a spoiler is all i ever need to know - it spoils the experience and the person who posted it lacks a basic appreciation for other people right to enjoy something unspoiled. if you got married then a mate walked over and siad " oh by the way ive banged your wife, she is good on top" it would take the fun out of it dont you think. If i saw Prometheus tomorrow i would keep schtum, unless my best mate told me he is dying tomorrow and wont get to see the movie i would tell him, thats it. Why ruin it for even one person. if you think im being harsh its because having information that other dont doesn't give you power it gives you responsibility.

@"thereyouareJonesy" Not sure if you're implying anything about me in your posts, but I've been careful to warn for spoilers in the title, not hit readers in the face with said spoilers but only provide a link and warned a 2nd time before I left a potential spoiler within my text. I'm ready to fully accept it if what I posted isn't what people want here, but I hardly see my post as inconsiderate, or that of an uncontrolled brat as you seem to imply. Translating the film crew's interviews is taking me quite some time so if people here don't want it posted either, please come forward saying so too cause I'll spare myself the effort...

Well ill say thankyou Lapetus. Its up to the individual if they wanna read these spoilers, ive just read it all,still not 100% convincined its all legit ,but very interesting if certain things mentioned are true

I've read her tweets and I think it's fake. Who is she to be able to attend advanced/test screenings before all the critics and so on? It looked like she didn't even know what she was talking about and like she couldn't remember some details. I don't even think screening even happened to be shown. I may be wrong, but it's just my opinion. And also, she was the only person in Twitter to be writing about it. From now, we'll be seeing more fake reviews, I believe.

@"thereyouareJonesy" dude I really don't care much about you being harsh. However I find you def lack the ability to realize not everyone's blast works like yours. On both accounts, it seems like you're giving yourself too much importance, you might want to lay low on that. I wouldn't care in the least if Ridley Scott sat just there in front of me and told me the whole thing up to the very last comma before I'd see his movie. I'd actually love that, and enjoy the movie just as much. So I, for one, was interested. Now, we're on a site where people dissect every single bit of image or sound to know what the movie will be about... maybe some don't want it all spoiled, but I thinks it's a fair bet to say I might not be the only one who wants to read these tweets. Even then, I left you a choice so you're welcome to not read them if you don't want to. I am done with replies on that issue and will now focus on the thread's subject, as all logic being, you shouldn't hang around that thread anymore. For others, again, it's far from giving everything away - at least up to now, don't know if new stuff keeps coming - but leaves a couple very interesting new doors ajar...

There is an VERY good chance that these were all fake. People who worked on the film and helped actually make the final cut have weighed in saying this person certainly did not see Prometheus.

Thx for the messages, guys. Really don't know what to think either, seems fishy for sure. If I was to believe it, it'd be because the theories these tweets would confirm are the ones I originally used to find most convincing/supported (** spoiler**spoiler** like Vickers being Weyland's daughter and the associated side-plot, for in the interview of C. Theron I'll soon post, she says something along: "for an actress it's interesting to see how Vickers growing up with an immensely powerful figure so close to her could influence her character"). It sure is not worth much if it's been debunked by people who worked on the movie, but at the same time, if someone leaked it all out now, I wouldn't really expect them to admit and stand clapping hands... well, don't know...

Thanks for posting that - either way, if it's true or not - it's interesting. I don't feel like it's anything that's ruined the movie for me - most stuff has already been suggested more than once. And I don't see how 'thereyouarejonesy' can say people are foolish to read spoilers, especially when he entered into thread that has **SPOILERS** in the title.... I do realize that saying "spoiler" in this forum is a bit like the boy who cried wolf, but still...

Well i dont want to read the tweets, cause i dont want to be spoiled. But i do want to know from anyone that's read them...is it good news or bad news? Was anything said that makes you think it would be anything but a great movie? (No actual spoiler details please.)

Sorry to point out folks, but this is painfully obvious. Fake. I checked that conversation. Also noted that none of the big name sites including FOX had any of it removed. (Kind of like that "FAKE" script we were leaked a month ago) But yet, when we had that one source claim to have seen the trailer and gave us the description back in December, I think it was. It took FOX all of 2 hours to have it taken down. And for them - accessing twitter and facebook to have posts removed takes minutes. Sorry, but nobody needs to worry about this being spoiler material. As it is not legit. Thanks anyways though!

dreakus, she actually didn't spoil anything at all. All she said was that the movie is gory and then something about some naked/cloak dressed man. Then a thing about Vickers, BUT that was already speculated. When asked about the soundtrack she claimed that she didn't pay attention to it, etc. Lies. And I can't decide whether it's good or not, since she didn't say anything that wasn't speculated before. Of course, a little bit of gore would be nice.

I don't know what to make of it. The info seems in keeping with the story we know so far, and (after reading the tweets) I kind of buy that she isn't really an ALIEN/Prometheus fan so the info is vague. The only real issue I have with this info is...how the heck did she see a screening? The press haven't even got their screeners yet. Plus the fact that a member of PrometheusNews checked her twitter feed and came to the conclusion that she's a young Indian School girl, which puts a massive strike through the theory that she's seen it.

ok, rest assured you can read that, I will not spoil anythings to you. Actually again, *provided* they are legit, even said tweets don't spoil much, if any. Honestly, all it (eventually) does is to confirm some of the main broad plot lines of the movie along hypothesis that have been considered seriously/numerous times on this forum. Not giving you details about which, but as I said, I personally found it to be the best supported theories around and most convincing too (I am not much into overly-intricate clunky scenarii like 'X is the great-great-uncle of Y's xeno-pet and his pinky toe is sent across the Z-dimension to be cloned into Robocop'). In the end, more subjectively prob, I think it potentially sounds just great and very convincingly close to Scott's declared will to make a mix of Alien and Blade Runner, i.e. high quality sci-fi with action/horror/gore + philosophical and moral implications faithful to the Alien universe, Prometheus myth and Scott's background themes. Now again: if it turns true...

I'm not going to read the potential spoilers but thanks for the thread. People should have the choice to read or not. I think people that get irritated about threads like this get that way because it's hard for them to control themselves when stuff like this is brought to their attention. Post on!

meh, I don't want to advocate too much for it being true cause I'm still debating that with myself, but it holds a little better than just that... From what I've read, she would be more like a 25yo indian girl living in the UK. Seems she's not particularly into sci-fi movies, she however has declared interest and many tweets about Bollywood movies. Not sure why Fox would have let it go up until now, indeed. I'm pretty sure there's occasions somewhat random people are picked/offered/lucky enough to have advanced screenings we don't know much about but that studios have very good reasons to do... She doesn't really seem like she seeks attention, too, only answering questions and trying to end up people's questions. Best guess at it being a hoax to me is if a friend of hers is very much into it and driving her to troll us all... None of that we really can be sure of for now.

I read it. It sounds pretty accurate. Not that many spoilers to it though I don't feel like I've seen the movie yet. Oh yeah and there's a Predator that shows up in the last 8 minutes. . . . . .just kidding

I was havin a crack at the lass who has apparently posted the spolier. Posts with SPOILER in the title i can work with that, its the secondary info that gets my goat. There is always some muppet who rolls it into a discussion out of the blue like a big sweaty fart in a lift. Iapetus - Its not self-important to have a strong view and to post it in response to a thread on a forum, thats kind of the point. its really not self important to feel put out on your wedding day if a mate talks about shagging your new wife. Its totally normal to feel Offended ! oh and the dying mate thing thats not self important either ?!? i cant even start to see how that would be really, it would be a bit bloody mean if you didn't tell him/her woudnt it ?? none of my examples are based on actual experience by the way. No dying mates and my wedding day was totally perfect. again really cant see the self important side of this. Its like saying your mate is self-important because he heard the score from a game he recorded and got really annoyed. Are you implying that you shouldn't get excited about things and want to protect that excitement because you look like you only care about yourself, kind defeats the point of individuality.

To follow on for people who don't want to click the link... Still not more info on whether or not it's a reliable source of info. What you may want to know is she's not actually giving out the whole movie. She has only described the events of a part of the movie, though what she says is pretty accurate (definitely includes novel elements and implications regarding story/characters). It is hard to exactly figure how much of the movie it represents but it sure lacks a good part, as it doesn't get at all into the outcome/untying of the events, how things are solved or even less how the movie ends. To me, it at least seems very convincing. Not saying it's true but could easily consider it is and not be disappointed. In that version, a few new elements it gives away (which weren't speculated until now for they were too far off) have a relatively simpler explanation than I was expecting/assuming. It don't consider it deceiving as it can be treated/rendered very effectively that way and I much prefer it than any overly convoluted theories I've read here and there. In the end, I might be wrong and tot gullible but until proven wrong, I'm going to consider it true for it really sticks to the direction I was seeing emerge from all details made available until now.

LApetus is not yours the Hoax ....there is not your honour at the stake . No even an idiot can say for 6 months that is not an alien prequel and finish it with Ellen Ripley being the daughter of Charlize Theron come on !!!! And its so cheap and cheesy that is painful even only to read it .

Not really *spoilers* unless you didn't know he's an Engineer and don't want to know how he looks like and what's that scene but I prefer to warn anyway: *** SPOILERS *** in the interviews I am translating, special-effects/make up artists discuss various techniques they used and created specifically for the movie. They explain how they had to come up with 2 different, specific ways to process silicon prosthetics to finalise the texture/shape on the Engineers. In that part, they explain what look R. Scott required and his inspirations for the Engineers. A mix of Michel-Angelo's David and some paintings from a british artist (name? don't have my journal here). After, they explain how much more complex it was for the 'Dawn of time' sequence (Sacrifice Engineer near the waterfall) because he appears naked (not fully, if we are to believe the girl) and they had to cover his body in very complex prosthetics to achieve the perfect look R. Scott wanted. They said it could have been better and simpler but was all made more complex cause shooting that sequence had to be done over only 2 days. *** /spoilers *** -- I don't recall anyone saying Vickers is Ripley's mother on this thread, on the 'spoiler thread' on the other forum or in the spoilers themselves... To me it only appeared in another thread on this forum. Not sure I really get your point here, sorry. @"thereyouareJonesy" I told you already what I found you self-important about. First, thinking this is not the kind of things people here want to see because it is not the kind of things [i]you[/i] want to see. Since then, people around checking the link said they enjoyed it was posted. Others prob just avoided the thread after it warned about spoilers in the title and text.
