david at control console

The seat he is in appears to control the area where the Space Jockey cannon is located. If you have a look around at some of the photos you will see it there. It's not clear what he's doing or the effect it has but maybe whatever he does makes the cannon appear from the centre for whoever/whatever to sit in it?

its starting to seem like there isnt much left to debate about...we are lapping ourselves. the SJ scene in Alien doesnt have the control chair or steps leading up like the one in prometheus does, from what i can tell. RS/gieger hadnt thought this far ahead back then.

Different control console bc its a different ship, slightly different. David does appear by himself so I do imagine he explores this portion of the juggernaut alone and then brings the others in later Gameover man.. I know .. lol

He may be at the console trying to rewind his career after X-MEN and now Prometheus. Take care everyone.

Well Shaw is with him when they enter this area and i think another image shows that Ford and a Merc are also with them when they enter that room. I would assume that Ford and Merc go and explore another part of the ship. Leaving Shaw and David in that room, when David sits on that chair Shaw is with him in same room. Latter Scene we see the Holograms and we dont see Shaw near him then. Not sure why Shaw leaves, maybe she goes to check on Holloway as in a latter scene she is with him when he falls to floor dazed and with swollen eyes. So i am going to say that she finds out Holloway starts to not feel good, goes over to him and he falls to floor.... then we see Fifield and Milburn come face to face with Cobra Xeno.... while David activates the Hologram.... There are many scenes though that just dont add up, such as we see Holloway being carried to the ship by Ford and Shaw... But later we see the Engineer face to face with Ford and a Merc in what looks like the Derelict area..... would they be so mad to go back down a 3rd time?
