I have been observing the night sky with large wide angle telescopes for the past 36 years in addition to the use of binoculars and naked eye viewing. I have seen a few weird things like a small weather balloon exploding, meteorites breaking up, and many satellites to name a few, but sorry - no UFOs.

It is endearing how many people seem to have the belief that we are so interesting that aliens are watching and visiting us, but in reality and to paraphrase scientists such as Stephan Hawkings, we are here to today – more likely due to our remoteness in the galaxy and having NOT been found by vistors.

Look at all the drawings from way back then, these monuments built all over the place, Egyptians, Mayans, Naztec lines etc maybe it was just there way of worshipping and believing in some made up gods or they were contacted by aliens. Why draw massive lines and shit in the ground that you could probably barely see at all from anywhere on the surface of the earth around them? They say in Prometheus we found these same pictograms in ancient civilizations with no contact, and we have similar pyramids and drawings that look the same etc

Seems like the general population can comprehend large amounts of money (like big lottery amounts), they’re ok with distance and millions of miles to say the sun or mars (not sure if they can handle light years), but trying to comprehend time such as what can change in 10,000 generations or what mother nature can accomplish in a Billions years becomes problematic and much easier to insert an alien or divine solution.

You (or slave lord) then decide to spend the time to create a huge signal or pattern on the ground to be viewed from space.
