If the main protagonist in Prometheus is the "engineers" ,space jockey I think this film will not turn out to be all that special. Been there done that with a alien being somewhat resembling man terrorizing astronauts. WTBS I do like what I have seen recently with the "eel" ,"cobra" thing and how it gets into the spacesuit and wreaks havoc.This is very exotic, otherworldly and the kind of thing I expect. I hope and pray the main "monster" is not the engineers that he is just a part of the terror not the mian focus ,but from what I have seen recently I think this is where we are headed. Side note IMO they have really went overboard with the latest TV spots revealing way to much.

Come on guys we can all have differences of oppinions.... Thankfully i am one who gives things some thought and tollerate others... I ant taking sides.... i just think we all have good intentions for this movie, and all we have is a misunderstanding between some of us.... But thats what being human is all about, we have differences and thats all better than being the same and just cloned robots..... Thanks for our Freewill Satan ;) @Cain1977 Nope thats just a fan made image made a while ago before we saw much of this movie.

Oh pretty cool, I know the Stan Winston studios would love that. Also. I am all for the facts of the film and not hear say from people. When I see the film, I will make my judgement but as for now, I know this will be Scott's defining return to his genre...therefore, I am looking forward to this and Blade Runner coming back to the screen and Scott uping the stakes.

@DippyBird Well respect for handing out the olive branch.... I am sure Sparticus never means to offend you, he is a long time poster here and i dont think he is the kind of person that he may had come across to you. Lets hope thats sorted that out and we can all get along....... Heres to the movie...... and no matter what, i think we need to look at it as a stand alone movie... thats why i would give it two views and rattings. One for how well a movie it is in general, and then another for how well it ties into the Alien Universe or not... Just as i can enjoy the AVPs for their Action and not take it serious as canon to Alien Franchise.

Hear Hear! Prometheus will be a Disney film for us...we will love every minute of the visceral and disturbing, and we, the few Alien/Giger fans will relish this film as the rest will be lost and disgusted.... ...this is our day! (there....I hope that motivated you guys)

@powereddie I´m on that side, too.. We will see how it will actually come out, maybe we will be surprised..I hope so. I´d wish Scott used Dänikens ideas less and just for general inspiration. But I BET he will feature it massively..WHO WANTS TO BET? Roland Emmerich is a huge fan of the ancient astronaut stuff, too. Stargate I has though hints to earlier civilisations like atlantis..
