OMG that is bad. Watch for the next poster to have some sort of xeno shape in the clouds overlooking the humans...

Oh god please tell me this is fan made!!! It just has to be... otherwise I have to say the marketing is really going down the drain. Horrible!

...their is bound to be many new posters....all movies have plenty of different posters......but it seems very misleading?.....tho i don't altogether hate it ( always refreshing to see something new) ....i am beginning to like it less the more I look at it.....maybe cause i am being influenced by everyone else's negative reaction?

I agree. This is too much and completely out of character for all the marketing seen thus far (expect for maybe the head sitting outside of the temple on the road in the other poster).

If it is legit and not fan made, i dont think its that bad, i have seen worse. It can be misleading..... We do see 3 people, Shaw Vickers and what looks like a Male. Maybe the 3 behind is the same said 3 but just at a earlier point. I dont think 6 would survive to the end, unless something else then kills off most of them after that scene. I am going for it being fake because i am sure i have seen that Shaws Face pose somewhere else, and the Vickers Head looks like the one from when she has the flamer.

@Visualizer That is why I love it. Everyone has to remember that one of the big influences on ridley scott is campy old sci-fi[Planet of the Vampires and the such]. Look at the spacesuits. Look at a lot of the stuff. the sci-fi thread a few days ago gave some great examples. It reminds me of Heavy Metal, Creepy, eerie and all that jazz. I love it. It is also a nice change form the overly done posters of late. It also reminds me of old Solaris posters from around the world. I love it. No shame in admitting it.

It also reminds me of cheap ass VHS box art from the 80's on italian knock off films. All it needs is the actors heads in multicolored squares at the bottom. Best poster i have seen in years. If I saw that in a theatre and knew nothing about the movie I would actually go. EDIT: The more I look the more awesome it gets to me. So fucking 70's. That is what the world needs more of. And it reminds me of a lot of the Alien concept artwork.

@ shane ....i don't have to feel so bad for kinda liking it then..;)....i can see why some might not tho!....the fans are polarized and I am on the fence regarding this one?.....the big head was getting a bit old....but their was something rather sinister about it.....(before i get stoned to death...lol)!!
