Opinion and question about time

So I saw prometheus in 3D last thursday and I really enjoyed the movie (although I can understand some of you are not as pleased as me) but I don't get all the negative reactions. Don't hate me for it but alien doesn't have a complex story its simply a horror movie in space nevertheless the film is very good! There are 2 questions I have about the movie: Did the engineer sleep for 2000 years or did I misunderstood that? That's kinda long :p And the movie starts at 21 december 2093 and ends on 1 january 2094 is this true? I mean what did they do those 10 days? They arrived the first day the second day they went back to the temple to get millburn and fifield, holloway died that day and a couple of hours later shaw gave birth and weyland etc went to the temple to see the engineer.... So that is 2 days if I'm correct.... Don't know what they did the other 8 days.... Any thoughts about that?
