Has there been any attempt at giving a name to the 'xeno'? Xenomorph as a name is so general, anything in the Alien universe could be called that. Seems there should be some other name for the creature, even if the fans name it, take votes, lol. I read the novel of Alien long, long ago but can't remember what it was called in the book, anyone? Maybe, if we do get to see it's origins in this film or the next, there will be a better understanding of the creature to name it. I assume the SJ's / Engineers will have a better name in Prometheus, I hope so anyway.

@Xenophobe Yeah I read that, too. It also mentioned other names like "Bioform", which is the name the "script" used to describe the substance that can supposedly re-write any life-form at a cellular level. The script claims that one of the crewmates ends up turning into a "Star Beast" too......and that was the original name for 1979's Alien, though personally I think that if you're going to use a name like that, apply it to a creature of bigger, epic proportions, 'cause even for the frightening xenomorph that name seems to high a title for it. There was another leaked script months ago, saying that the movie ends with an Engineer on a final mission to "Bring the wrath of the gods to Earth." The wrath of the gods being the Xenomorphs......seems interesting at first to think that the Xenomorph is a tool of some higher lifeform, but...
