Is it just me or is anyone else appalled by the complete lack of OSHA, CDC guide

Yeah i did. I saw the movie when i was a kid in the70's so i feel pretty intimate with it.esp after seeing it a hundred times. Thats why the coffees the only good thing on the ship. Big parker smile. I cant wait for this movie. I was excited by the return of sttarwars in 99. That was hyped too. It was rubbish. Though rs is a much better director. Unlike other scfi the alien universe is familiar and functional in its look and feel. Check out the movie outland. I used to imagine that it was the sort of place the nostromo would dock at. All those grimey miners and engineers. I bet they dont smoke in prometheus. It must come back in fashion in the 2100's. Fun times anyway.

You're not the only one to make this point, and there actually does seem to be a slight issue there, to me. OK, it's a movie - but it's still a little surprising there doesn't seem to be one pause for protocol in any thing we've seen far - just people jumping in, helmets off: "Ooh, look at all this goo! Let's paddle in it!.." - "Oh yeah?!...Well check this out - a Space Worm! Awww - I'm gonna pet it!...." Hopefully, in the actual Feature, somebody will at least do some crappy scan that comes back negative: or some lowly character will mention the word, "decontamination", and then get told to shut their damn idiot mouths, y'hear, in a very rough manner by Janek - because of all the special X, Y and Z, Weyland technology, of course.

Horror movie logic. If the victims don't do stupid shit, they won't get killed and the movie won't be as fun. I think what's going to be fun about this movie is that Vickers will be the person who does all the right things and makes all the smart calls. She's the person who is determined not to follow any of the horror film tropes. I do hope we at least get a bit of that meta-analysis from Prometheus like we saw with Cabin in the Woods, which is sort of an ode to the horror movie tropes we grew up with.
