you know, to me, if you look at the end of the GIF as it goes backwards, it looks to me as if there is two different things going on. At first it looks like just Shaw. Then watch the end of the GIF, it looks like the tentacle thingy looks like it has the "blue guy". Like its going after both of them and the blue guy is the slower one. Just a thought. I have been away for awhile.

Hmmm. Cthulu comes to mind. It definitely has the engineer in its grip. I am really hoping Shaw's baby is not coming to rescue her. I couldn't take that.

Well Mentos, it looks to me that it is not CG. @outlander, it doesn't look like its saving Shaw, it grabs her left leg. Who knows what it wants to do. To me, it looks like it just wants whatever it can get. It could happen after the scene when where Shaw is on the ground and the SJ is standing in front of her. She runs away and then bam. There is a third.

i'm going to try and be optimistic, but that tentacled thing (admittedly its a tiny gif and unclear) looks on a par with some of the worst crap i ever saw on 70s doctor who (and that's the gold standard for horseshit effects). hope it looks better onscreen.

This movie is looking better and better each TV Spot we see.

and I haven't read anyone's account of the engineer getting eaten by the tentacle monster so I think all of these so called prescreenings are fibbing

The critter looks like the pics of Shoggoth, but doesn't match my understanding of this description.

the guy amongst the mass of tentacles is mr weyland (genetically changed)he was the one shoving shaw in the trailer,the engineer never boards the prometheus. why would he need to.the leaked movie screening said this. it isnt an engineer

what makes you think it's Weyland? There was another post somewhere that said that since weyland is old, the aliens have no reason to infect him.

Well i spoke to someone who told me about the creature and i posted it on here days prior to that image... He claims some of those so called leakes are fake, but the Twitter Girl has got some right but not explained it right, she either as a none Sci Fi fan descipes things wrong or she heard it off someone else and so interpret some parts wrong or was just not paying any real attention. This scene is potentially before this one... This shot above he is.... maybe the Cuddles has sprayed him with Acid, maybe Engineer had managed to get Cuddles off him but got Acid attack for his troubles?

It does look like s bigger version of the facehugger but more tentacle-like! Wow, a extremely larhe facehugger sort of alien beast! Would be a bit bifferent I suppose. I hope they don't make too much like Alien but just enough so that we get the so called 'DNA message'!

The Engineer pushes her to the wall, as we see above, she falls...as we see in the trailer, and she opens the door in utter panic to kill him, the door opens and there is Shaws baby....gets hold of the Engineer and does what it does to him, pretty basic set up there in that scene..

so the Engineer is being attacked by the Shoggoth / Akira Monster xp Thanks for the news @Mentos
