Robotic suit?

Dammit! I saw a realy good shot of this suit a week or so ago. If it's just a prop, it's a bloody expensive one. Yes, I'm sure it gets used at some point. EDIT: Found the pic... This isn't a spoiler. It's been seen on many shots and was even in RS's office when he was interviewed a few months ago It's use is still unclear, but, I would have thought it to be used externally of the ship in space, if not underwater

it may used by one of the crew members to try and defend against the engineer as he chases everyone through the ship sort of like the powerloader for ripley???

@ Fanboy79 ....my thoughts as well....or if their is a underwater scene....then this fat odd shaped red robotic suit would probably make it's entrance....it does have a certain b-movie kinda retro charm to it..;)

From the look of the suit, as in the size and the way it seems "airtight" i suspect its a spacesuit, like what astronauts use when doing spacewalks.

This suit is unique, not remotely like the crews suits. It's also more armor-like with a full helmet. As we've not seen it worn in any of the clips, am guessing it may be used in the climax, sor tof like Ripley's white space suit. Maybe a mix of her white and powerloader(?)

For reference, I say Robbie is as good a name for this suit as any. This is a one size fits all thing. If your male with a pauch, female with child or female just well endowed this suit will work for you. Just thinking back to a good number of stills, Robbie is often seen in the background behind or near by Shaw. It's candy apple red so you can't miss it. Maybe it's baby maker proof as well. I'd guess Ms Shaw gets into the suit and with it, does battle with her ungreatful offpring.

It's an underwater hardshell diving suit. Google Newt Suit and you can see what it looks like. A portion of the script that was revealed in one of the featurettes included Vickers and Holloway arguing about brining it onboard. It may foreshadow a scene where Shaw needs to wear it, or more likely, I think it is an inside joke referencing James Cameron, because of his obsession with the ocean.

Ah, this dumb red suit "mystery" again... As if a heavy suit on a spaceship was anything out of the ordinary...

If you watch the hero complex interview of rs, its in r.s.'s office.

Perhaps it is a red herring, like the red herring items in early LucasArts adventure games - Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken. Like the idea of a Cameron pun, though.

...thanks for replacing that pic craigamore....much better now!...sorry photobucket turned on me...using something called Miscpix now....hopefully it's gonna work better Sorry Takka did not know it was discussed before....should have posted it in Prometheus discussions instead...it's not as bad as the daily blue guy stuff at least!
