Post movie posting 101

To be honest, I’m not too bothered about what I see being posted. Reading threads is a bit like reading a book in that it presents a certain aspect of a story, but in the long run what you get on film is an entirely different experience. From discussions I’ve had with some people, and from what I’ve seen of some peoples’ comments to threads about the Prometheus trailers, is that it looks like a well made film, but there is nothing that really stands out that truly grabs your attention. I think this maybe why some may think it is going to disappoint. Lets wait and see, because I don’t think it will disappoint. I think for a film like this, the most important thing is how the story is told regardless of leaked screen shots and so called spoilers. There is nothing I like better than to perch my arse on that movie house seat, take in the build up of on screen tension and then shit myself rigid when the real moments of horror arrive. No web site comments, book, or magazine can ever replace that.

Post all that you want to in the new "[url=http://www.prometheus-movie.com/community/forums/6]Prometheus Spoiler Board[/url]"! It will be filling up in the next 24 hours with 5/22 screening reviews. Game is ON!!! I will be one of those that has volunteered to handle these threads (moving, editing titles so as not to reveal major plot points, etc.), but I will be trying not to read anything until my screening on the 6th (if my screening tickets for the 31st don't materialize). -abordoli (staff)

@Abordoli that takes some real inner strength, good luck with the not reading anything until after the screening. I can say I don't want the movie ruined by spoilers, but in reality if people didn't want to see spoilers and share theories they most likely wouldn't be on this site. If I don't want to read it I don't have to. Sitting in front of the big screen is completely different then sitting at home infront of the computer reading the plot.

@Abordoli & other staff The Spoilers board needs more visibility on the landing page, because most people who come here post straight into the Prometheus discussion board, hence the wealth of locked threads, all titled "SPOILER: pictures of monster in latest TV spot", and most of the time the opening line is "I haven't seen this thread yet, so here it is...". And reading, editing, deleting and moving them would be more painful for you lot.
