Repelling out of the alien ship?

This is probably after the ship crashes. They might also have scale the rock face to enter and rappel to get out of the temple.

i think this is when the juggernaut has crashed. They go back in to inspect the ship ect! i dont think the juggernaut crashes at the end of the film i think it crashes maybe mid way fro the film!

Yes looking at that scene, the Derelict does look like it has fallen over and now stands in a simular position to the one in Alien... And i think thats the thing, thats what Lindelof has in store, i also bet that we see the Engineer get the Cuddles Mouth Love treatment and we will get no 100% of a dead Engineer i.e we wont see him blown to millions of peices. This could then lead us to think..... erm.... i wonder if that really is the Derelict in Alien.... i wonder if that Engineer is the one from Alien. Because this movie will end in a way that we cant rule out those.... but then it also means thats not the case, it will be Lindelof toying with us, playing with our minds...

i really think this movie is going to have a really strong alien tie in. I think just as you said bigdave in that scene we see the juggernaut haveing a strong resemblance to the derelict as in similar position stands slightly 60 degrees or so! In interviews Lindelof & RS keep hammering out this film is not a prequel i think thats lies! He did say that alot of questions will be answerd in prometheus regarding alien! So the big questions are whos the sj why is the derelict stranded on lv lv 246! how did the eggs get there they are basic answers we all want to know & this film has got to answer some of them?! Then take off on its own stand alone movie franchise leaveing questions of its own..

The ship looks pretty intact. Perhaps the damage isn't that severe? It looks like one hell of an explosion though. I can only assume that this scene is after it has crashed but who knows!? It could be a whole other ship (though doubtful).

You all mite jump on me here but i for 1 do not want to see a xenomorph in this movie! as i said explaining its origins would be enough for me! Im more interested in the spacejockys where the hell did this race come from, Did they make us. Or where they made but another GOD like race theres so much that can be done with the SJS. i grantee when we see this movie as much as we all love alien, we wont be talking about how canon PROMETHEUS is we will be talking about something new, A new alien race new questions. ALIEN is 33 years old we all need to move on, see this movie as a stand alone movie and if it dose have any reference to ALIEN just be glad that RS took the time to explain shit to the fanboys. also so questions are better unanswerd!

@seanb1888 I'm starting to believe that we are just being thrown through a loop. I think it's very possible that the ship in the movie IS the same ship in Alien, HOWEVER, the terrain is completely different and that is a detail that RS would not overlook.

maybe shaw some how flys a new ship n crash lands on lv 246 with cuddles onbored who knows! all i do know is from the new Lindelof interview he says alot of the alien questions will be answerd & some will not! Really could be that the only tie in to alien and prometheus is that wayland is in the movie less than 5 mins! if this is true i will be dissapointed. This film really dose have to reach out to the fanboys. Dosent necessarily have to be a facehugger chestbuster or even xenomorph or ending on lv 246. just explaining how the xenomorph was made and for what purposes would in my eyes satisfie most fanboys. Then finally we can let go of the xenomorph. and see a whole new world open up :)

What i will say as trailers go it really dose look like the promethes dose the juggernaut real damage in the air then the fall. So maybe with the prometheus days numbered and with no ship to get home. the last of the survivors try to some how use one of the sjs crafts to get home?

I dont think we would know for sure they are going to play Cluedo with us as far as thing that could link to Alien... They are not going to explain or give anything that stands as concrete proof that Shaws Baby would turn into the Xenos Mother or Grandmother, but there will be no 100% proof so we can say.... oh well that rules out the Xeno comming from Shaws Baby. Its like the Hologram and Ghost Engineer scenes, the Mural, the Dead Jockeys i doubt we get a clear answer apart from the obvious like "oh something must have killed them" "oh those Engineers must be running from something" Is that connected to what killed them.... most likely But we wont be able to say if its the Xeno, or something else. So we would be left to wonder.... did the Xeno kill those Engineers in that Ghost Scene and Dead Boddies.... or does it come from Shaws Baby only not shown in this movie... And we wont know, because we wont be told.... we would just be left to assume, like a lot of stuff in Lost did.

@seanb1888 Just as you said there apears to be more than one Temple, which means more than one Derelict... But we wont see the other Temples, we wont be shown them or whats in them apart from being able to make out simular shapes as the mound they actually visit. This is why any potential Prometheus 2 could go anywhere in any direction, and even in directions not related to this time line or system. This movie could end in a fassion and then we see a Prometheus 2 that does not even tie into the end of this movie, it could be set 1000 years before or even after Alien 3 we just dont know... I do think that how well or poor this movie does, and the reaction from Alien Fanboys could play a massive role... Because if this movie does not pull in as many as expected and a vast % who see it and buy it on DVD/Blu Ray apear to be Alien Fans and a fast amount of them are not happy at the lack of answers... I think maybe that would force Ridley to answer them, if not then even Fox could go that route if they think a Prometheus 2 that pleases Fanboys where Prometheus does not, if that would make them more money then Fox would go for it. But untill we see the movie we cant know the outcome and fallout of the movie.

@seanb1888 A lot of stuff they say contradicts each other... He has said there is no real direct link, but we may get some stuff that could give us clues or explain stuff but it would only be how we concieve these clues. But before yes Ridley said the last 8 mins will tie into Alien, some interviews he said would link to Alien, some he says we will see a tie. Some he says we will see Alien DNA, some he says we will see DNA that we will be able to link as simular to Alien DNA. So we just dont know, it depends on what they think is a link or not.... Weyland is a link, the Ship is a link. Just as Bruce Wayne and Batman and Joker are all links shared by Batman 1989 and The Dark Knight yet they are different stories. They also did say that this is where the Mommy meets the Daddy, and also Lindelof did say this movie is about the Progenitor.... which both mean the Evolution or Predecessor.

@bigdave I think the tie in personalty is there to be seen alien DNA is all over this film you have the android we have a crew investigating a new world there will be types of angry ass aliens just not a xenomorph. We have wayland in some part of the film. the urns resemble EGGS, we have some sort of facehugger but wer just not sure if it leaves a xenomorph of sorts in the host. Theres the derelict in its full glory flying ect. any real alien fan would just love all that, But i do agree RS has said the last 8mins or so will tie into alien, And yet we all dont know what it could be. the makeing of a proto xenomorph? shaw being the mommy and holloway the father on some way? or dose this film realy show how the sj ended up on lv 246 and show what really did come out of him! its anybuddys guess really

I dont think we will see a Face Hugger, a Xeno or maybe even a Egg in this movie... Lindelof has said on two occations there will be no Xeno or Face Hugger and we wont see any Eggs on the Derelict.... he did not see we wont see Eggs full stop.... Its a hard one to say, from many reports we do see a Organism that we would be very familar with in this movie... So far including Shaws Cuddles grown up we have not seen enough of that to fit in with the likeness of a Xeno.... The Murals look like it both of them. Well Rapace did say her Baby goes on to take on 4 forms as the movie goes, so if thats the case Baby Squid and Tentcle Monster are only two of those. Somone who claimed to had seen the movie in LA told me that the creature at the end is going to make every Alien fan happy and they will go wow, and described it as having traits from Shaws Baby and the Orginal 1979 Xeno, only with Tentcles and its basically simular function to a Face Hugger.... That makes me think of some kind of large Alien creature like Alien Queen that does not need to lay Eggs that contain facehuggers because it can do the Face Hugger part itself... We shall have to wait and see i guess.. But i do assume that we will see a more closer resemblence of the final stage of this Evolution as being more closer to something like a Xeno, than the Squid that comes out of Shaws Belly.

@bigdave The mural in my view is the big talking point there is no doubt that is a Xeno. So if we go by logic they must have been already engineered. So shaws cuddles could not be a proto xeno?! It has to be something else something new that we havent seen and to go by the new trailers itis defo not something we have seen in the alien universe.

intresting. As i have said though the mural clearly shows the xeno thats in aliens. So this species must already exist? Or is this mural a drawing bored of sorts of what they are about to make! Even if we assume Holloway getting her Pregnant then we have only seen 3 stages, so there is 2-3 stages left we have not seen, i suspect one between Baby to Tentcle Monster and one after...

4 different forms & 'every woman's worst nightmare all i can take from that is maybe shaw is pregnant with a normal human fetus it some how gets infected maybe by holloway or some other mutated crew member. So that would be one form the change growing into the Tentcle Monster small like the cheastbuster think we have seen that in the medpod? 3 & 4 well then the Tentcle Monster gets big. Then the next stage is anyones guess!

Shaw's uterus must be stopped!

After the collision of the Prometheus into the Juggernaught the Prometheus and what remains of it has to force land too! The Juggernaught itself crash lands, Vickers and Shaw get out of the way until it lays down flat. Then attempt to go inside, then soon after the Space Jockey that was battling the Bio-Engineer somehow then gets aboard. The two women get out but David is there and remains. The Bio Engineer gets involved somehow and then a possible set of events play out now from here. This ship does become that of the Derlict in Alien and the mystery for us is in part solved. It might raise half a dozen new questions too.

Lambert to Dallas, "Something must be wrong with this new Weyland Yutani scanner. Dallas turns away from the SJ. "What do you mean Lambert." "Here give me that!" Kane grabs the scanner and adjusts the controls scanning over the massive reclining figure. "She's right Dallas, this thing is indicating human DNA, let me see if I can lock it down." Moves closer to the puncture in the ribs of the long dead figure. "It's definitely human DNA inside there." Kane indicates down inside the suit. "How is that possible?" Dallas looks at Lambert and then Ash. "Let's get the hell out of here!" Lambert shivers visibly her suit lights dancing across the walls of the chamber. I do not even want to contemplate the possibility....

I am going to play the devils advocate. I think Shaw is repelling out of the ship. When you climb a rope to get into a area above you your body placement is under the lip and you reach up and pull your self in. In that Picture Shaw is in the perfect placement to start to repel out and down. I think the Ship is lying on its side as it has been as it was stored under the ground, we have seen in the trailers Janek say its a ship and the holograph image shows the ship on its side like this picture. We are seeing the ship come above ground and begin the process of starting up to leave. Shaw has gone back to the ship to get something, David? I think she may take something with her, navigation device? this is what leads to the blue guy chasing her into the prometheus or life boat.

@Mostly As I mentioned in my original post, the shot is of Shaw repelling OUT of the ship. The clip in motion certainly confirms this. As you can see she is also carrying a bag... this is curious because there is a freeze frame SOMEWHERE on this website of Shaw jumping OUT of a human vessel with a bag in hand. It looks to be the SAME bag she is carrying as she is leaving this alien craft. So perhaps she is returned something the crew stole from the alien ship? Who knows? June 8th hurry up!!!

They have gone into the alien Juggernaught before it is powered up and takes off. Look in the background at the top left hand corner, it is the Hammerhead 'arm', depending on your point of view - and the top right is the Sail-Fin. They are both near to the ground as it has not been powered up yet, it is still inside the temple-like hangar bay. On the other hand they could have discovered the Derilict upon LV 426 too! Just they somehow never got facehugged for whatever reason. Maybe THEY are the ones who remove the hatch that leaves the gaping hole the the Nostromos crew find and Kane goes into. Maybe this crew simply didn't bother to investigate down there and chose to head up to the Hammerhead section to conduct their investigation instead. They may have gone up intp the Sail-Fin section to look around and that is what this film will explore. It gives us the chance for a second, more detailed search of the apparant Derilct ship, or at least one design that is very similar in overall shape to the Derilict ship; in other various areas that were not permitted screen time due to the overall length of the film I read reports from various other sources that somehow the eggs that are found in the Derilict when the Derilict was 'alive' and active they some how came out into those sections they were found in by Kane like a factory conveyer-belt. They were some how grown out of those bone-like recesses they were found in except by the time Kane sees them the 'factory' has shut down and either went into a suspended animation of its own or this is its bio-mechanical version of 'rusting up'.

@dsjohnson84 Yes thats a good spot.... But also in some scenes of the Orrey room when the Chair is raised there is also a simular looking Bag..... She apears to be repelling out of the Derelict, so its not a case of taking something back, but going inside to take something out.... Maybe the scene of her jumping out of the Lifeboat is after these scenes, as when the Derelict has taken off and gets hit by Prometheus its safe to assume Shaw is on the surface empty handed, when she and Vickers are running away from the falling Derelict and Debris she again is carrying nothing.
