Engineer Xeno - Chr1s

Also would anyone agree the idea the Space Jockey could have a potential change of heart in the film and help the remaining crew utterly ridiculous? (only saying because a friend of mine put the theory forward and I found it horrifyingly terrible)

If the engineers are space jockeys....there are (at least) three engineers in the film. So you could get one of each.
If the space jockey is simply whoever so happens to sit in the big chair...then do you consider Peter Weyland to be benevolent, neutral, or malevolent?

What ever happened to RS's idea of scaring the CRAP out of us......I am clinging to the hope that the SJs/ Blue guys / whatever..are truly SCARY and EVIL and do the "perverse things" RS said they were going to do......I don't know about you guys but I wanna be scared senseless by the end of the movie !!!!!

I second that. I really want that to be the case and have every creature/entity etc, be terrifying and threatening. I dont expect the Space Jockey to be that scary just menacing and dangerous. Its the likes of the cobra-hugger and infected that I would expect to play on the horror elements.

I have not grasped this idea of the Blue Dude and the Space Jockey/Engineer as being two seperate things. Where did this theory of them being different come from? Is there any evidence to support this? To me they are one and the same thing and the thing in the chair is an immobile suit for the Engineer to enter for piloting or whatever purpose.
