Cobra-Hugger Scenario

ahh, thanks for pointing that out. Im still unsure as to what that really entails in terms of the creatures purpose. Is it like a xeno and just wants to kill anything in rather nast ways or maybe infect them as hosts for some reanimation purpose (e.g. a necromorph in Dead Space)?

I understand, was just speculating and intrigued to people's ideas as to what might happen is all.

To be honest, I think it will probably go all the way down inside of him. It will be about a thousand times scarier than if it just popped its head into his mouth and looked around. There is just something truly terrifying about however many feet of slimy alien life-form chocking its way down inside of you.

Drakeequation: I agree with you on the full body going inside him and I know this sounds gross but in reality do you not think the sheer fact that something has gone down his throat he would have a gag reflex and chuck up? I personally would find if that happened very uneasy to watch. But still I wonder what it intends to do to him?

Svayna: Thanks for showing the link. After looking at the gif image I'm now under the impression it is indeed like a facehugger and has layed a lifeform inside him that jumps out and attacks to infect. Makes a little more logical sense possibly.

Well again and i dont know if this person is BS! But i heard of someone who seen the movie, and they said that a lot of the scenes we see in Trailers are not what we think, and that the scenes regarding the Temple and Cobraxeno, Face Melt etc the trailers do not scratch the surface of whats going on. And many scenes are mish mashed so we assume they are connected but they are not. And we noticed that a lot as from tailer to new trailer/featurette seems to then rule out what many assumed from other trailers.... one being Holloway. So we dont know if Face Melt may just be a Merc.... so we may not see what happens to Fifield.... or maybe the scenes are cut in a way that we first assumed Fifield was the one who gets the Cobra into his suit, then the new Trailer showed it looks more like being Milburn, but then we see the newest one which again shows what looks like a bigger organism in Milburns suit. And as for the Faceburster scene, it does look like Ford bending over and it looks like it misses her.... Now question is in the scene when we see the Cobra Face up to Milburn we see only him and Fifield, and in one of the Hollomap scenes we see a F and M near each other and no other person near by. Then when we see how in short space Milburn seems dead... Could it be that Milburn and Fifield are attacked and the rest of the crew leg it out of there and leave them... Thus the dead Milburn Face Burster scene actually be latter on when some of the crew go back down inc Ford and thats when Ford has the Face Burster jump out at her, and then after that she latter bumps into Engineer in the Orrey Room?

In an overall sense I agree that the scenes in the trailer have be mismashed and will have been misinterpreted. But I dont fully agree on that is how the scenes pan out. Seems a bit too messy and all over the place, it is potentially far more straighforward than that.

Aparently they assume Milburn is dead, then Holloway gets infected trying to help him and then Fifield after. Mind you they are not attacked by a Corba Hugger either, but i guess we shall have to wait and see if thats the case.

Big Dave, The problem is the character of "ford" she is all over the place in the timming of issues. We see her in the temple and It would look like she is in two trips, I.E commin back from the temple when Holloway gets burned and then the meeting of the blue guy scene. I think she also said in an interview that she is only in the movie for the first 28 mnutes. So how does that Jive? I like the idea that they come back, and look at milburn and thats when the creature bursts out of his mouth, the implication of that timming is that the cobra huggar is in the temple from the very start, and attacks them in the first trip. That seems out of place to me. It looks like they go in, grab the head and david an ampule, they race the storm back, Holloway touches an ampule and gets infected, that touch or DNA exchange starts the ampule to leak and create. They go back, David wakes the blue guy up, the cobra huggar attacks milburn, and mowhawk guy, Holloway starts to transform, Ford gets killed and they race back for holloway to get burtned by Vickers. Thoughts?

@BigDave; I never doubted that the studio was scrambling the trailers, some other members here have also pointed out that if we were to pick apart the original Alien trailer we would think Ash had suffered the same fate as Kane. Studios are not stupid, they tease us and keep us interested. They have done a great job teasing us with Prometheus in my opinion. I will add this, it is sounding more and more like that second leaked script. The one BugHunter posted. Not everything jives like it but there are some striking similarities that cannot be overlooked at this point. I hope it was merely an early draft, because that script was god awful in the state it was in. :/
