This is a bit random and pointless but it just occured to me - Does the Space Jockey on LV-223 know that there's a neighbour next door on LV-426 which is dead and has nasty cargo too? Just find it perculiar that there is another Space Jockey ship on another planet so close to the one in Prometheus and yet seems to have been left alone. I would of thought if the Space Jockeys were all about engineering species then you think they would of gone and picked up their mate's cargo on the planet round the corner. This also makes me wonder if the Derelict did send a distress signal, wouldnt the Juggernaut have picked it up way before the Nostromo ever encountered it?

What if the distress beacon was not meant for us / others at all, but for other Engineers / Space Jockeys as a warning to each other about something happening with the precious cargo of the original Derelict ship and Weyland Corp. just happened upon it and decided to search / look into it in the name of science? Or David in his downtime somehow has a different directive from the Corp. *(just like Ash having some reason to decide to let the infected crew into the ship and ignored isolation protocols in Alien) and changes the ships instruments to read as other planets / locations in his downtime as there is interest in other lifeforms / instructions? What if C..A..T really spells D..O..G ? Hmmmmmm........

Mmmmm-hmmmm. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? I had an idea that the Company just ends up changing the designation from LV-223 to LV-426 to avoid people twigging to the fact they'd been there before, and it didn't go so well.................. What better way to deny something that happened in the same system? "Nah man, that happened 30 years ago on LV-223, not LV-426, can't have been us, we weren't there, the numbers are wrong and so are you ner ner can't hear you *sticks fingers in ears*"

I was just thinking the same thing last night...that weyland never wanted anyone else knowing what was there except him and his. that way he had more chances to harness the power of the alien to suit his purposes.

to be honest, After watching the directors cut of Alien last night, im not convinced that the two jockeys aren't one and the same. I've posted my reasoning here: My thoughts

This is going to sound random also... But after watching the trailer when you see the ground quaking and moving ...dosen't it appeat that the whole planet is a ship......and if that's the case maybe...lv224 whatever and lv453 are one in the same.
