ahhh loved the murals.

I'm basing this on just what I've seen so far... (I've still got a week to wait here in the US). Does anyone else get the sense that the editing in the overall movie is a little rushed? Is this RS's attempt to fit a 3 hour movie into 2 hours? Where'd the beats go? (Geez... and I thought the trailers were edited into quick cuts!) Any thoughts from someone whose seen the whole thing would be appreciated.

...or am I just getting too old for all this new-fangled-3D-MTV-style-mosh-pit-gonzo-editing?

This was awesome thanks for posting. I think the chamber room is a trap as she says "I think we've affected the atmosphere". I also buy into the theory that David infects Holloway due to him asking "What would you be willing to do?".

@jdax Notice how quick David is with the bottle and the glass? Surely he has an agenda other than just asking questions.. @db Depends on the context of the movie - maybe this scene is part of a build-up of some kind of gruesome climax. WE SHALL SEE :)

@db Looked at the scene again where they open the door into the chamber - i'm pretty sure that this is not the final cut... Remember this is for publicity and showcasing.. This is far from what Ridley would do during dialouge... In particular: 1. Discovery of the helmet 2. Atmosphere - dialouge

That chamber scene is awesome. When Shaw approaches the "zeno-ish" mural,... well, nevermind... LOL What I would give to see the original draft by Spaights. A full-on Alien prequel! Wow!

Let's hope. I brought this up because a number of people have criticized the movie as jumpy/choppy/confusing? If this is the final cut, Ridley's really changed his visual narrative style. I don't hate it, it just takes some getting used to... kinda' like pairing down a script to the essentials.

wow David is a little bit "clumsy" isn't he? It's so blatant he is up to something, though I'm not sure what, but at the same time, he acts weird so the crew would just think that is David being David. Halloway seems like he is very arrogant. He says "because we could" but when David gives him the same reply Halloway seems offended. I don't think his leap before you look theories are going to help him, in fact they may be his fate. I'm so excited to see this, damn I'm wanting to see it now.

I feel sorry for you.. It's a little weird way that Prometheus opens like it does.. I know it's about cash and revenue... But then again. In Denmark it premiers tonight at midnight.. The first openings are tomorrow - i'm taking the late show.

Cool, but I hope they cut several shots in the urns room scene, since the pacing could have been better. Can someone who watched the movie confirm/unconfirm that?
