MemberOvomorphDecember 25, 2012I pondered this morning again about Prometheus.. Well, that's what makes this so movie great -anyway..
I was thinking about the overall behaviour of the space-jockey, it's traits and so on.
In the opening scene, we see a naked engineer, creating life (presumably on earth). All pale, white and majestic.
Years pass and on LV-223, David discovers "a space jockey".. This engineer however looks suspiciously different, with Alien traits on his body.
And here is my conclusion: We know from the holographic story, that the engineers atempted to flee.. They're own creation turned against them. Everybody, makes it almost canon that it has to be the Xenomorph... I don't agree on this.
And why? The engineer we see on LV-223, is infected itself by the black goo, consumed by rage and anger, it's physcial form alterede by the goo.. It's blood in the Deacon scene being all black, and giving birth to the genetic mutation, a result combining human traits, a biological weapon, intellect and strength of the engineers.
They got infected by their own weapon, by mistake gave birth to the ultimate weapon, by intervention by the hands of human beings.. Thus, Prometheus gave fire to the gods..
Thoughts??
