Why oh why are SOME of you people negative about the film after SOME reviews. Before some other BRIT jumps on my hobby horse, let me summarize with FACTS: Rated 4/5 by TOTAL FILM, The Telegraph, The SUN, Huffington Post, The Scotsman & the London Standard - all major newspapers here in blighty. Some may say that, "The Sun is trash..." or "That reviewer is a tossbag..." The FACT is these are major Newspapers & magazines giving this film 4/5. Rated 3/5 was EMPIRE, The Guardian Thank F**K there is no-one giving it a 1/5 or a 2/5... Most negative reviews contain the comment (Esp The Metro), that the actual ALIEN is not in this - well that is just lazy Journalism. RS clearly has staed this is not a Xeno movie. Also, 85% (still high) after 30 hrs on Rotten-Tomatoes... I cannot wait til TUES... All I can say to those in America is that these reviews would feel me with confidence that the film is not a big pile of shite. I will not judge it til I see it BUT total film & some major papers love it... x

OK. Me and my friends already watch the movie. We were seven people and only one said that he liked it. Two of us hardcore fans-we didn`t like it Two like Alien-didn`t like it. Two without opinion-didn`t like it One who watched Alien, Aliens and Alien3 right before the premier of Prometheus.-He liked the movie and he said that it was better than Alien and the rest of the franchise. So i don`t need more to say. You can call me troll or anything else. When you see the movie you will understand and if not sorry guys but something is wrong with you. And ones again you will prove the theory that americans like to watch shitty movies and all the rest of world learned to do it because of you. But i thought that people in this forum are different kind. Are you?

it`s not a secret that hollywood possess more than 90% of movie market worldwide. And i don`t find it so funny.There is logic to be like that, but unfotunately in the last few years Hollywood has become more money machine than ever and less a place for art. And we are all guilty because we watch everything that they bring to us (i must admit not only americans). And my english isn`t good but excuse me it`s not my mother language.

I've seen Prometheus this morning for the second time, so i could focus better on some things, the movie really got me now!!!

for me Prometheus was a let down. and i had done very well in avoiding trailers and tv spots. only saw the 2 trailers. even then it feels like they have shown a lot of the film. so many unexplained scenes. lazy script. theres a moment, after a big scene, that left me not listening cos i was too busy questioning why? but aren't you gonna say anything? surely you'd say something? this does't make sense. what? wait? why is that happening now, doesn't anybody care? well that was random. Story and script wise, its lacking. sometimes very clunky. it is the same as AVP!! Execution of the Visuals and soundtrack is 5/5 Editing feels rushed. during ''action scenes'' blink and its over. though the ship crashing was pretty great, but on the whole i feel deflated.
