Yes, it's true but it's not Prometheus 2 or Blade Runner 2, or even a sci-fi for that matter.

Fassbender is in it!
I enjoy McCarthy's work too.
I also noticed that Javier Bardem is in the film as well. I loved the Anton Chigurh character, friendo.

Yep. Not only that but its interesting that not even McCarthy's agent was aware that he was writing a screenplay, his first...and it ended up in the hands of Riddles

That is interesting indeed. McCarthy's first screenplay, Ridley, and a very capable cast. Could be an outstanding and edgy film in the making.

Maybe Michael is his new Crowe....not sure, we'll see. But the plot sounds....well..familiar......hmm.
I wish Ridley would just go for it and make Blood Meridian like he was considering a while back...double NC-17 rating if not a Quad X

Well the McCarthy-Scott team up should bear some amazing fruit in the future. No Country for Old Men, The Road, and Blood Meridian were all amazing novels. Maybe this will be the film that gets Fassbender that Oscar he so rightly deserves.

I'd love to see a No Country For Old Men prequel with more about Anton Chigurh: his origins. That would be badass.

I for 2 Love it !

Yeah, a No Country prequel about Anton Chigurh would be awesome. I think the mystery of who he is and where he came from made the character all the more menacing, but I'd still love to know his backstory.
He's such an iconic character with that bowl haircut, the hard to pin down foreign accent, and that captive boltgun. A scary-ass and totally original villain.
