I have not seen the film yet. But from the negative feedback that I have been reading on this site. Also from my experience on watching Lost for so many years, and then to be smacked in the face with a pitiful ending. I now know that Lindeldorf has to go. He must not be the writer on the sequal. We as fans have to have a wright to voice our opinion. We deserve better. That is why I want to know from you guys who should be the next writer on the sequal.   I for one think that the studio should go the graphic novel route. Look at Robert Kirkman, and the Walking Dead. The director took that story, changed it around and look we know have a suspenfull tv show.    I think that the studio shoul try writers like Allen Moore. Mr. Moore is the writer of the Watchman for those that do not know who he is. His graphic novel is considered the best of its kind. Which I totaly agree with. His writing is deep and males alot on sense. Even the New York Times, and Time magazine considered it great.   Or why not give a guy like Garth Ennis a chance. He wrote the Punisher series for many years. He also wrote another great novel called the Preacher. He is a serious in your face writer who does not beat around the bush. He's nasty and vicious. Maybe that is what the sequal needs. Those are a few of the writers which I would easily take over Lindeldorf. I would like to know whats your to replace Lindeldorf if we had the power to do so. Your pick does not have to be from the writers mentioned above. It can be anybody you choose.

I still say Tarantino, he writes amazing dialouge and has a penchant for filming nice, violent action scenes. Let Ridley be the director and take care of framing the scenes and he also has an amazing eye for visuals.

The problem with JJ Abrams is that he worked with Lindledorf on lost. So I would be skeptic to bring him on. Tatrintino would be taking the Alien franchise in a totaly diferent direction. I would bring him on as long as he did not add to much humor to rhe script. Also, because he is a sussesfull director. He and Ridley might find difficult to work together. But you never know.

Rubirosa, good point .I forgot to add Tarantino would have to take the humour out of his violence , but I believe he would have a totally different take on the franchise just as he has WW2 movies and Kung Fu movies and I think it would be totally fresh and interesting.

“There’s a gap of a few years between Prometheus and the original Alien,” Cameron told The Guardian. “That gap is meant for me to answer all the questions raised in Prometheus.” James Cameron wants to make the sequel to Prometheus

I would definitely go with Lindelof over Tarantino any day of the week. Sure Lindelof may be horrible at providing answers but his writing style is a much better fit for science fiction than Tarantino. James Cameron would be an amazing fit for project I think.

Am 100% sure that if there was a single thing about Lindelofs script that RS wasn't a huge fan of, it would have been cut out, and Lindelof told in no uncertain terms, to sort it out. RS scifi hallmark is unanswered questions. In case you didn't know, the unknown spacejockey appeared in his film 30 years ago, not Lindelofs. If you watch the making of Alien in the boxset, even when Ridley was only on his 2nd movie, he had no qualms about telling guys with 40years experience in the movie industry where to go to make sure he got his vision of the movie on celluloid, and not theirs. And if anything he hasn't softened. So, keep your little views that Lindelof ruined RS film if you like, but it's wrong. Some opinions are just wrong, they don't stand up to any objective scrutiny at all. Ka-ching! Someone please give Windood a cigar!
