afterlife?

...i am also puzzled by that afterlife bit...we are only concentrating on where we come from....but no one to my knowledge has asked that particular question yet..."where do we go?!"...so i am also curious? Perhaps it's the same place we come from?

He means where we go as a species, not as individuals. What does the future hold for us? How will we evolve and develop after discovering our true nature? Will we gain certain insights from the SJ biotech that alter our development? That's what he was referring to.

I think not. I think Sir Ridley is refering to "human beginings" [i.e enginnered begining by an alien race] and "the way" is refering to "what will humanity do once it aknowledges that". thats my oppinion at least.

I haven't thought about it in that way, maybe you guys are true. Would be kinda interesting to see how they would deal with an afterlive story well i am glad I will know in 11 days :)

Someone once told me about afterlife. On earth there is a secret camera chasing you for every activtiy you do. In afterlife, you have to watch the same life recorded and answer to critical jury questions and nod head "t'was not me". She did it or he did it. I am innocent.

Can you seriousely talk about life , afterlife and creation with cobrahuggers and theron with a flamethrower ?? I think not ..and that is fine !! There must be time for serious thoughts and time for enjoying an horror sci fi movie . ( i just finished writing and i did remember that we had some serious thoughts with Rutger hauer talking of ships on fire off the shoulder of orion ... oh well ...nevermind ) Anyway i agree that afterlife is a theme touched too few times in our lives ...and its about what we will be soon to eternity ...not a secondary matter . Reading the writings of Marco Aurelio ( Roman emperor )its funny to note that his ideas of afterlife and life in general are basically the same of me today ... so all the science ( and we can say religions ) havent changed nothing about our perception of life and death ( but they changed our way to conduct life ) . On a final note ..no i dont think afterlife will be part of the plot of Prometheus .

I dont know how it would deal with that or if it does? This is one question of life that we will 100% get the answers to..... well in regards to that Evolution/Big Bang are false, and maybe Alien Creators.... unless there is more to the puzzle.... You see i guess when you die if you end up in a Heaven type Afterlife, or Hell then i guess that means the God/Religon aspect is correct... maybe... and if you just become a lost soul/ghost again maybe that proves God.... You see we may never see Aliens, or God, but you can sure bet your arse that we will find out what happens when we snuff our clogs at some point in time.

I agree with Frantz.....The afterlife will not be touched on in Prometheus. We're there to find our origins and what we find is "our creators behaving badly".
