I am trying to say this in the nicest possible way, and i really don't mean to come across as insulting or anything but, some of you people make me sick! We get a good ORIGINAL story for this movie, that yeah may seem a bit rushed to people but look how much they had to fit in to it! Ridley Scott has worked hard on this film, and IMHO its a genuine MASTERPIECE. Its like a piece of art, only some people understand it, and its beautiful to many when confusing to others. People are criticizing Damon Lindelof about the plot and the movie, but its a REALLY GOOD MOVIE. I seriously cannot believe how people dislike or are disappointed by this movie, its a work of ART as i said earlier. For me i got all my answers, and even got some more questions which i LOVE! Sir Ridley Scott has done an EPIC thing here with Prometheus, and i just hope most of you will appreciate it like i do! Sorry if i offended anyone but its just a BREATHTAKING movie, and IMO its up there with alien!!

it is so weird..because for the first hour I was like "THIS IS INCREDIBLE", I cant wait to get back and tell everyone And then the last half hour, I had nothing but contempt for it..today I realise it was a badly written script, Lindelof is to blame FULLY

Hello To me it seems a lot of people are drilling into the film too much and coming out with bad reviews. I loved it and got slightly emotional at the end and also when the Jockey chair started moving :) I loved the face of the Engineer, those deep eyes. Gary

Hello I totally tried to ignore all links to Alien and wanted to view as a stand alone film just like Ridley wanted to. It worked for me. I loved the acting, the 3D effects were spectacular (my first viewing of a 3D film) score was good (some people seem to want marching bands and dancing girls music) and as for the ending I actually thought this was going to happen many weeks ago. Thought it would be cool to happen and it did ! I'm very happy, will probably go see it again and the Blu Ray release is a definate for me. Gary

Ok time for some pros.. great use of 3d cinema photography, visuals were stunning in places. some great sequences in the med lab but the follow up left a lot to be desired in a practical sense. The engineer's looked great art direction was superb as usual from arthur max, visual direction was terrific from ridley , the whole piece leaves you with plenty of questions to be addressed for a sequel. Came away feeling wanting more details and visually satisfied if not emotionally.

i agree this movie is brilliant, it answers some questions yet open up more questions, this is truly epic and can not wait to see it again done forget one of the reasons why alien was so good, was because it left you thinking who was that pace jockey, how did all them eggs get there, and why where they there etc etc this answers who the space jockeys are, too a degree yet keeps the mystery there for alien too much information will ruin alien and the alien universe thats why we love the alien universe to find more information to see new things

What a bunch of doofuses. Ridley Scott, by way of Alien and Blade Runner, have given us all the BASELINE for this kind of SciFi (apologies to all predecessors who produced SciFi-Horror crossovers, but they do not rise to the level of Ridley's visual talents in my opinion). He has created the basis with which we judge ALL SciFi-Horror. To say "not good enough" is a kind of hubris that may play well when shouted from our little soapboxes, but reflects a complete absence of awareness of the debt we owe. Don't like the movie? Good for you. The posterity of this movie does not belong to us. It belongs to history.

All this negativity towards the movie seems to me like a whole bunch of people who just can't accept the facts that they have low IQ's. Reminds me of all the people who were complaining and moaning about Inception. Just because your intelligence is not quite up to par, and thus you have no understanding of the movie, doesn't mean the movie is bad. Just means you aren't very bright. Now i haven't seen the movie, i'm just stating facts based on what i have observed with people saying about other movies that i ended up loving. denial is a bitch

Why would it make you "sick" just because most everyone who seen it, didn't like it? If you like it fine, but why make a big deal out of the fact that most people didn't? Nobody else is allowed to have an opinion that differs from yours?

I didn't really like the film. It's not because I had to "think" or have a "low IQ" either, my favourites films include things like The Machinist, Vanilla Sky, Inception, Matrix, Shutter Island, A Scanner Darkly, Momento etc. And I love science fiction big time. The problem for me was that everything that happened seem to be / get contradicted by something else later on. From the physics of the world being reinvented every 5 minutes to characters motivations being completely random. I couldn't help thinking throughout the whole thing "why is this happening? why is he doing that? how can that thing happen if *blah blah* happened earlier?" I've never been second guessing a film and confused by every character's actions the whole way through before. I'm sure there's a good film buried in there somewhere. But it's buried very deep.
