MemberOvomorphJul-05-2012 3:54 PMMy theory is this:
The Actual "gods" favoured earth and humans over all, it was their precious so to speak. A rebellion formed against the elders or gods, and the engineers on LV-223 were banished (almost like prometheus) from "paradise", and onto LV-223 where they remained.
These Engineers were very good at creating and developing life, and so created the Xenomorph race, in order to get revenge on the Elder Engineers or the "Gods" by wiping out earth, the "gods" favourite and most precious creation.
This backfired, and the creators were killed by the created. But only one engineer survived...thus leading us to prometheus...
THOUGHTS???
Its a robot...ash is a goddamn robot!

MemberOvomorphJul-05-2012 4:10 PMI'm still believing the "sacrificial" Engineer was murdered.
But your theory makes sense to me. Why not? All things possible 'till Sir Ridley makes it otherwise.

I still have a problem with the distance from the Engineers' home to Earth(Or earthlike planet) in the opening scene, Why so much travel time?,, I can understand the humans' need for life/sleep support for the long distances involved but if the Engineers(or handlers) have been at this seeding for awhile the distances could quickly be covered..and lessen their need for suspended/life support.. There is something else in the story line that has not been revealed..about the original seeding..
Be choicelessly aware as you move through life

MemberOvomorphJul-05-2012 4:47 PMI believe the sacrificial engineer tried to pull a fast one and introduce xeno morphology into the mix.
