I believe it jumps out of his dead body later in the film. But yeah, it basically serves no other function in the plot other than to kill Milburn and spray acid on Fifield.

Yeah, it jumped out of him throat when the rescue team turn up and runs away. I was more concerned with what happened to milburn. Also after Fifield attacks the crew and they eventually kill him, there is no further discussion about him or what happened to him. Like I have already said elsewhere, a bit disjointed.

"what happens to the worm that kils milburn? does it just go away?" Maybe it whent to the same place as all those crew members that just seemed to vanish from the plot! But the cobra worm thing. Yep, killed one person, mutated another (as seen in the trailer) and then sodded off from whence it came!!

The mysterious Vanishing crew of prometheus. I think I counted 8 completely unaccounted for characters.... I figured out what happened to them..... It was all the cocaine that Scott and Lindeloff where taking whilst ego tripping about what a groundbreaking story they where creating... The crew got completely lost up there a-holes!

LMAO @ The High Priest!! Spot on mate! I lost count on how many crew members turned up when it was required by the plot only to vanish minutes later! I was literally face palming myself in the cinema at how ridiculous it was. The cobra snake thing must have wriggled back up RS a-hole to!

wow, thats pretty crazy that people and things just disappear and reappear. it could be like aliens directors cut, where we are given answers to what happened to things and people.
