Please see it twice!

I liked it the first time and now that I see all this hatred I want to see what they were truly talking about. I don't understand the hate for the writing or characters. The two who die early on were LAAAME characters, sure. But they die early so who cares. I thought the movie was wrapped up well with unanswered questions that at first pissed me off but now I see all the conversation and speculation about it so I think that some of the unanswered questions were good. Nothing wrong with a bit of mystery. The dialogue was AVERAGE but certainly not terrible like some have expressed.

I loved it the first time I watched it, however I do plan on going to see it again. I really do believe that Ridley did a fantastic job on it and personally I liked the characters, the writing, some of the comedy like _____ treating the "cobra" like it was a dog etc., Charlie's character was surprisingly not as horrible and douchebagy as I thought he would have been. Overall I enjoyed it, but I definitly think most should see it twice to get a better experience.

I was the same too. First time I was like "meh" and had an empty feeling and was disappointed and felt let down by Ridley lol But since then Ive watched it another 4 times and really like it now. I dont know why though, because I didnt miss anything(well not much anyway) 1st time round. Welcome to the twice-is-nice club!

Who saw it just in the 2D format?

I saw it in 3d IMAX last night and I was blown away. Maybe that helped, because I immediately put it in the category of top ten sci-fi flicks of all time. Watching that little blinking dot speed silently through the silent cold void of space was......beautiful. It was truly one of the most visually impressive movies I have ever seen. But after reading this....hmmmmm...I'm seriously considering going to see it again tonight!

So I skipped the show next day and third day I went and saw it again. Enjoyed so much more the film. Go see it again if you wasnt sure how to feel about the movie after one view. There's many things you will see much deeper meaning. No, not going to see third time even that was in my mind. I buy the DVD once it comes out. ^ ^ Cheers and enjoy the movie!

Going many times is not going to make the movie any better; you've changed attitude towards because you payed three times to go and watch it. I'm not saying there wasn't good stuff. I'm just saying : it's not worth it.

@Heustess: Well maybe my friend....I can't tell for sure. But I certainly liked it much more on the second pass...Don't know why. It just worked.Expecting the Blue Ray too though!

It's hard to create a life changing experience again in cinema these days...

i saw it the first time in disney land california... loved it so went back again to watch it a second time ..this time in 3d... even better, my advice is you must watch this in 3d... it is fantastic.. ASHER

saw it in 3d first morning show the day it was released in South Africa....I loved it...a masterpiece IMO....but ok to be fair i lowered my expectations considerably after reading many negative reviews...but i have always loved movies shrouded in mystery...the plot really lingers with you....the best thing about "cloverfield" for instance was the fact that they never explained where the creature came from....the shaky camera was just a distracting gimmick.... But Prometheus was so open for interpretation....they really should make more movies like that...definitely planning to watch it again...but i don't wanne go alone....wanne drag one of my friends with whom have'nt seen it yet....i always enjoy a second viewing more with company....when i saw Prometheus i did it with an old school buddy whom i have'nt seen in 15 years...and we watched aliens together all those years ago....what a great reunion and we both thought it was even better than aliens!!
